My novelisation of Mortal Kombat 9. I know in the chapters the battle scenes are a bit short and too simple but it is the best I can do...
Mortal Kombat 9​
Prologue
Bodies were scattered upon the ground. They had been crushed, sliced, stabbed and beaten. Weapons were stuck through kombatants and some bodies were sliced in half. Scorpion was laying on the ground with Sub Zero's Kori blade thrusted into his chest. Baraka’s head was sliced in half from Kung Lao’s sharp hat. Johnny Cage's head was ripped off with his bloody spine fully visible. Sonya Blade was split in half with the vultures feeding on her flesh. Many other bodies were scattered around but two were remaining. The protector of Earthrealm, Raiden was above the temple with the emperor Shao Kahn.
Raiden was thrown across the top of the pyramid making his hat fall off. Raiden was bruised, hurt and completely beaten. Shao Kahn walked forward to Raiden.
“Where are the elder gods, Raiden?” Shao Kahn asked. He then laughed and walked forwards again. He then grabbed Raiden and pulled him up. “Their pathetic Mortal Kombat shackles me no longer.”
Shao Kahn then punched Raiden many times then threw him again. As Raiden was flying through the air his amulet fell and it smashed into many pieces. Raiden didn’t notice since he was being thrown through the air and he was about to land.
“They masquerade as dragons, but are mere toothless worms.” Shao Kahn said holding a green glowing hammer. He stepped on Raiden’s chest. “My venom spreads. It is the end of all things. Armageddon.” Shao Kahn said as he raised his hammer.
“Stop!” Raiden yelled as he was feeling the pain.
“It is done.” Shao Kahn replied.
He grabbed Raiden again. “Your time has passed.” Then he threw him again.
“Ages wasted in foolish resistance.” Shao Kahn said. “Now is the dawn of my rule!”
Raiden found the amulet broken in many pieces. He quickly grabbed the pieces and started saying things to his amulet.
“Hahaha.” Shao Kahn laughed. “Yes. Pray to the worms, Raiden.”
The amulet was surrounded by lightning.
“As your world ends.” Shao Kahn quickly pull up his hammer.
“He must win!” Raiden said as the hammer crashed onto his head.
Pictures were shown of the everything that happened before the future Raiden’s death. It showed how people died. How people evolved. How battles would happen. Until it ended when the past was the present…
“Ughh!” Raiden yelled as he saw the future in his vision. He was back to the present.
“Lord Raiden. What is wrong?” Liu Kang said stepping next to Raiden.
“Strange visions…” Raiden said. He grabbed his amulet and saw a part of it was cracked.
“Your amulet!” Liu Kang yelled.
“It is nothing Liu Kang. The tournament begins.” Raiden replied.

This is amazing! Glad to see that more people are getting interested in writing and fan fiction. For starters you have done an amazing job!=D, you will surely improve overtime when you write more. I shall give a shout for your novelisation in my MK10 and MK11 threads if you dont mind, so that we can have a full fledged MK story. Also there is a 1500(approx) word limit in each post, so you might have to post in it multiple posts. Do let me know if you need any help and Ill be glad to assist you.=D. Keep up the amazing work!!
 
Nice work. But to keep the tone pretty dark. Take away the 'and just' from your first sentence before you say 'beaten'. Also, 'totally destroyed' when you describe Raiden. Just small things like that. You want to keep the tone and mood pretty dark.

Yeah, its fine. Thanks for the tip about the 1500 word limit :) And thanks for your comment. I have actually been writing this for months and never posted :p You can give a shout in your thread if you like, its no problem :)

Yeah, I am not that great at writing fan fiction but I will possibly improve. Thanks for the tip anyways. And thanks for your comment.

Chapter 1 - Johnny Cage

Many kombatants had come to Shang Tsung's island either to witness the tournament or compete in it. Johnny Cage, The Famous Action Movie Star and Sonya Blade, A Special Forces agent was one of them amongst the crowd. Representing the Lin Kuei, a Clan Of Assassins were three warriors, Sub Zero, Cyrax and Sektor. All arriving at the islands with their Respective Goals. Many of them were there. No one could miss this opportunity to win back Earthrealm and so it doesn’t merge with Outworld. Then the host of the tournament arrived. Shang Tsung was accompanied by Kitana and Jade and also Baraka who followed. The sorcerer Quan Chi was with Scorpion. As Shang Tsung raised his hand everything went quiet.
“Kombatants.” Shang Tsung said. “I am Shang Tsung! In the coming days, each of you will fight. Some are here for their own volition. Others were brought here by chance.”
As Shang Tsung was talking Johnny Cage started too.
“Hey, beautiful. Johnny Cage.” Johnny said to Sonya Blade who he was stood next to.
“Good for you.” Sonya replied.
“What, ‘Massive Strike’? ‘Citizen Cage’? ‘Ninja Mime’? None of those ring a bell?” Johnny asked naming a few movies he stared in.
“Kano…” Sonya said finding Kano stepping into the area.
“’Kano’? Wasn’t in that one…” Johnny replied.
“You participate in the most important Mortal Kombat in history! This tournament, the tenth after nine Outworld victories, will determine Earthrealm’s fate.” Shang Tsung explained. “If you defeat all of your opponents, you will face one final challenge…me”
“Ha… that old geezer’s the final challenge? They might as well give me the belt right now. They do have belts, right?” Johnny said.
At the side of him came a voice. It was Shang Tsung.
“What? How did you—“ Johnny asked turning around and facing him.
“Appearances can be deceiving.” Shang Tsung said interrupting Johnny Cage. “Our first kombatant will be Mr. Cage!” Shang Tsung yelled flying to his throne.
Johnny looked around as people watched. He walked out into the battle area.
“That’s right! That’s right! Who’s it gonna be?” Johnny asked.
“Reptile!” Shang Tsung yelled. A figure came from above the building. It had been invisible and it was Reptile. He jumped towards the area for battle.
“Nice stunt! Who’s your agent?” Johnny asked.
“Begin!” Shang Tsung yelled.
“All right! It’s showtime!” Johnny yelled getting into a fighting stance.
Reptile quickly propelled an acid Ball from his hand which successfully hit Johnny and sent him flying to the opposite end of the ring. Reptile quickly closed in on his opponent and tried pulling him up to fight. Johnny however shove the saurian back and gave a heel jab to his chin and connected with an Ariel back Flip kick causing Reptile to pop up into the air and land at the middle of the ring.
“Yeah!Thats what Im talking about!!” Johnny yelled.
Reptile got infuriated and he spit out a small jet of acid. Johnny jumped over it and kicked him in the chest which knocked the saurian down again but quickly got back up on his feet. Johnny had a special move that he had to use. He used the ball buster move. He dodged onto the ground, punched Reptile in the privates 3 times then jumped up and smashed his elbow onto his spine. That fully knocked out Reptile. He had won the battle.
“That’s it! Ha haa!” Johnny yelled. “Oh yeah! I’m so pretty!”
Johnny walked towards 5 fighters and started to brag about his completion in the battle. He said he would take down all of them.
“And I’m takin’ you down, I’m takin’ you down, I’m takin you out, I’m takin’ you out,” Johnny said. “And I’m takin’ you out… for dinner.” He said as he saw Sonya Blade.
“Ugh!” Sonya said.
“Now for your second challenge, Mr. Cage. Baraka!” Shang Tsung yelled.
Baraka jumped far to the arena.
“Mmm, ok… Nice makeup, but is it reeeallly necessary?” Johnny asked seeing Baraka’s face.
Baraka’s blades came out of his arms.
“Whoa!” Johnny yelled marvelling the beauty of the blades.
“They will taste your flesh!” Baraka yelled.
Baraka then suddenly attacked Johnny. He kept dodging the slices of the blades.
“Ha haa!” Johnny yelled as Baraka couldn’t hit him.
But then Baraka sliced Johnny’s leg as he dodged making him fall to the ground. Johnny was fast though, so he jumped up smashed Baraka in the face a waited until he fell and got back up. As Baraka got up to his knees Johnny ran and kicked Baraka in the face, making him fall backwards and he was knocked out.
“Man, I love those blades.” Johnny said smiling. “My producer has got to meet you! We’re doing ‘Tommy Scissorfists,’ and –“
“Congratulations, Mr. Cage. Now. Finish Him!” Shang Tsung yelled interrupting Johnny.
“Finish him? Yeah, right!” Johnny replied.
“Kill him!” Shang Tsung yelled.
Johnny looked around to see what other people thought. Should he kill him? Should he spare him? He didn’t know at all. Since he wasn’t in this to kill people he didn’t want to.
“Whoa. Whoa, whoa, wait a second! I’m not gonna kill anyone!” Johnny answered.
“Very well.” Shang Tsung said. “The tournament will resume at dawn!”
Shang Tsung stood and walked away as well as everyone else.
“What, that’s it? Really?” Johnny said. “Now where’d that hottie go?” He said turning around.
As he walked forwards he encountered Raiden and Liu Kang.
“You fought well.” Raiden said to Johnny.
“Thanks. Nice hat.” Johnny replied.
“You should be more respectful of Lord Raiden. He is the protector of Earthrealm, the God of Thunder, the—“ Liu Kang explained before being cut off.
“Look. I don’t know what kind of role-playing you guys are into, but count me out.” Johnny said.
“This tournament is more than a chance for personal glory. We are fighting for the very survival of Earthrealm.” Liu Kang replied as Johnny was about to leave.
“What are you talking about?” Johnny asked.
“Your last opponent was Tarkatan. He was born with those blades.” Raiden explained as Johnny didn’t know of those things.
“Yeah. Those things are real.” Johnny replied looking behind him as Baraka was being lifted from the floor.
“He represents Outworld. Had you lost, the emperor Shao Kahn would have come one step closer to physically absorbing our world into his.” Raiden explained again.
“Outworld, yeah right, right…” Johnny replied again almost not listening to the madness being spoken.
“The Elder Gods created the Mortal Kombat tournament to give Earthrealm a chance to defend itself.” Raiden said trying to catch Johnny’s attention. “But if we lose this time, Shao Kahn will conquer all.”
“Dun Dun Dunnn!” Johnny said sarcastically. “Look, guys. I’m an actor. I save the world for cameras. If this emperor is really a threat, call the military.” He explained. “Me? I’ve got a date with a blonde. Ciao!” Johnny touched Raiden on the shoulder and proudly exited the arena.

“What do you see in him?” Liu Kang asked as they watched him exit.
“He is a hero, Liu Kang, though he may not yet know it.” Raiden replied.
Upon a bridge in the darkness of the night was Sonya Blade. She was talking into her comlink.
“…triangulating your signal for an evac but… there is no island…” A voice came from the comlink.
“I’m standing on it. Just lock onto my wrist comm!” Sonya replied.
Then the actor, Johnny Cage stepped upon the bridge. He saw the beautiful Sonya Blade.
“Understood. What is your current status?” The voice said again.
“They have Jax. And if I don’t fight in this crazy tournament, they’ll kill him. I’m gonna try to—“ Sonya replied before she was interrupted.
“Need help? I specialize in rescuing damsels in distress.” Johnny interrupted.
“You again. Listen. I’ve got serious problems here. I’m in no mood to be hit on by some movie star.” Sonya explained.
“C’mon. A girl like you shouldn’t be wandering around this freak show alone.” Johnny said trying to attract Sonya. Sonya walked away after Johnny’s talk. Johnny didn’t give up. “Look, baby, I can’t let you run loose without an escort.” Johnny said grabbing Sonya on the shoulder.
Sonya got angry and punched him in the stomach and the face. “I don’t need an ‘escort’” Sonya said. “And I’m sure as hell not your ‘baby’!” She yelled as Johnny stood up. Sonya was strong in combat so she grabbed Cage and pulled her arm around his neck. She then jumped down hurting Johnny’s neck. He fell and he then kicked Sonya in the face. As he got back up he grabbed her and smashed her against the floor by pulling her up in the air then banging her on the floor. That made her weak.
“Ha haa! Not bad for a… girl.” Johnny said feeling sorry for what he did. “Look. Sorry about that.” Johnny pulled his arm out to help Sonya but she smashed his arm away.
“I don’t need your help.” Sonya said angrily.
“Fine. Have it your way. I’ll just leave you to your… problems.” Johnny said backing away.
“Good idea!” A voice came from behind Johnny. It was Kano. He grabbed Johnny and threw him over the edge.
“Now that he’s softened you up, it’s my turn.” Kano said stepping close to Sonya.
“Not man enough for a fair fight?” Sonya asked as she struggled when she was in pain from the battle she just had.
“I don’t do ‘fair’” Kano replied. Johnny could hear the pain Sonya was in. “No need to get up, love.” Johnny heard. He was hanging on for his life with one hand. “So tell me… how are things at Command?” Johnny heard Kano ask. He saw underneath him a pit full of spikes and dead bodies.
“Bastard!” Sonya yelled.
“Gullible *****. Just had to point you in the wrong direction.” Kano said as Johnny tried to hang on with both hands.
“Couldn’ta done it without ya!” Kano yelled.
“S.F. is on the way, you won’t get far.” Sonya said.
“Oh, I got a knack for survival. You, on the other hand, are gonna die here.” Kano laughed.
Just as he said that Johnny flipped up onto the bridge behind Kano. It startled Kano and he turned.
“Step away from the lady!” Johnny exclaimed. “Fans think my moves are all wire work and special effects. Truth is… I am the special effects.” Then Johnny suddenly kicked Kano in the face. Then continued punching him. Until he got near Sonya. “Don’t touch the lady!” Cage said. Then he grabbed Kano by the neck and pulled him up, then smashed him behind him. He then ran and jumped onto Kano’s chest. “Throw that on your… barby… Shrimp…” Johnny said wondering what to say.
“Thanks.” Sonya said as Johnny approached her.
“No problem. Who is that guy anyway?” Johnny said reaching out his arm. He then hesitated and moved his arm back since he thought she wouldn’t want his help. Sonya then put her hand out after a moment and he helped her up.
“His name’s Kano. He was an informant in our Black Dragon investigation. Big time arms dealers.” Sonya explained as she got up. “Turns out he was their leader, giving us the runaround. Lots of our guys got killed because of him.”
“So that’s not a costume? You’re actual military?” Johnny asked.
“Special Forces.” Sonya replied.
“Get out! So you know about this ‘threat to the world’ stuff, right? Raiden called in the cavalry.” Johnny asked again.
“Raiden? No idea who you are talking about.” Sonya answered. “Damn.” Sonya said as she saw Kano had gone.
“He can’t be far.” Johnny reassured Sonya.
“He’ll have to wait. I appreciate your help, Cage…” Sonya explained shaking Johnny’s hand.
“Johnny.” Cage replied.
“… but right now I’ve got things to take care of. My C.O. is locked up on this island somewhere. I have to find him.” Sonya said walking off. Johnny smiled at the friendship he had gained with Sonya.

Chapter 2 - Sonya Blade
Haven't updated this to make the battle scenes and such better, I will do soon so dont worry :)

Sonya Blade entered a disgusting underground lair. She was still looking for her C.O. Jax.
“Jax! Jax! You in here?” Sonya asked quietly. She continued walking. She saw bodies hung by a chain of by a rope. But she was only looking for Jax. As she looked in the cells she found Jax.
“Oh my god.” Sonya said as she saw Jax. “What did they do to you?” Sonya asked.
“Run, girl, run…” Jax replied. Sonya then looked suspicious. Three figures came into the lair.
“Miss Blade! You do not disappoint! I have been expecting you.” Shang Tsung said.
“Let him go! We’re not part of your tournament!” Sonya yelled angrily.
“On the contrary. You are very much a kontestant.” Shang Tsung replied. “You will face Sub-Zero, of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins.”
In front of Shang Tsung came a large ice block in the shape of a figure. Then the ice snapped revealing Sub-Zero. Sonya angrily stepped forward.
“Now you will feel death’s cold embrace.” Sub-Zero said. As soon as they started fighting Sub-Zero sent an ice ball flying towards Sonya. She was then submerged in ice. Inside she struggled out of the ice and it broke under her strength. Then Sonya quickly grabbed Sub-Zero and kicked him in the face with her knee. Sub-Zero fell. He suddenly got back up and threw another ice ball towards Sonya she jumped over it and ran as fast as she could towards Sub-Zero. She did a cartwheel and her feet smashed against Sub-Zero’s face. Sub-Zero doesn’t go down that easily. So she kicked him in the chest. Fell onto the ground and kicked Sub-Zero in the chest around 5 times then she grabbed him with her feet and smashed his skull on the ground. The battle was finished.
“Done! We’re leaving!” Sonya yelled.
Raiden suddenly appeared in a flash
“Stand in my way and I’ll kick your—“ Sonya yelled.
“A challenge?” Shang Tsung asked. A vision then came to Raiden of who would battle Shang Tsung and it was Liu Kang.
“No. You will not be the one to challenge Shang Tsung.” Raiden said stepping in front of Sonya.
“You want some too? Fine by me!” Sonya yelled. Sonya was angry and when she is angry she is strong.
Raiden didn’t want to fight Sonya but he had to protect himself. Suddenly Sonya smacked Raiden in the face. Raiden didn’t protect himself that much. He had to let her beat him so she could escape. Sonya then grabbed Raiden’s hat and smacked it against his own face. When Sonya finished with the hat she threw it back at Raiden. He grabbed it but before he grabbed it, it covered his face and as he put it on his head Sonya’s foot crashed into Raiden’s face making him fall.
“Enough of this!” Sonya got angrier. Sonya then grabbed Raiden’s neck and almost punched him.
“Shield your eyes.” Raiden said just before Sonya’s fist was going to connect with his face.
“What?” Sonya asked suspiciously.
“Shield your eyes.” Raiden said again as his eyes turned so light that nobody could look into them. Sonya, Shang Tsung and his bodyguards shielded their eyes. When Shang Tsung was covering his eyes it was time to save Jax. Sonya walked towards the cell and used her wrist equipment to blow off the cell door.
“Jax, come on! We’re outta here!” Sonya said grabbing Jax and pulling him out.
“’Bout time…” Jax said.
The two bodyguards then ran after Jax and Sonya as Shang Tsung stayed with Raiden.
“You aided their escape.” Shang Tsung said to Raiden.
“You allowed them to escape.” Raiden replied.
“They will not get far.” Shang Tsung said since he was certain he would stop them.
Outside in the sunlight Sonya and Jax just exited the disgusting underground Lair.
“Come on, Jax! Move it!” Sonya yelled as she pulled him out. “That’s an order!”
“Oh… so you’re in charge now?” Jax asked.
“Special Forces Command, this is Sonya Blade! Where’s that evac?” Sonya said into her wrist comm.
“…Blade, they are en route… coming to you…” a voice came.
“Affirmative! Almost home, soldier.” Sonya said to Jax as she put him down to rest.
“By order of Shang Tsung, no one leaves this island.” A woman’s voice came from the lair they just came from. It was Kitana and Jade, Shang Tsung’s loyal kombatants.
“I don’t have time for this.” Sonya said as she stepped up towards them. “Outta my way!” Jade first hit Sonya with her weapon. It marked Sonya’s face but Sonya didn’t care. She quickly did a handstand and grabbed Jade’s neck with her feet and pulled her behind her. Then Kitana struck as well as Jade as soon as she got up. Kitana had fans and she threw one towards Sonya but she ducked and it hit Jade. She was out of the battle since the fan was stuck in her shoulder. She was in pain but Kitana didn’t care and she continued with Sonya. Kitana had two other things up her sleeve. Her two blades could easily hurt Sonya if a fan could hurt Jade. As Kitana was about the stab Sonya she ducked and punched Kitana in the stomach. One of her blades fell, she grabbed t and stabbed Kitana’s leg. It wouldn’t permanently hurt them they could easily recover in 2 minutes. Jade was already fine but she wouldn’t even go close to Sonya at all.
“Sure don’t need any more surprises like them.” Sonya said. “How you holding up?” Sonya asked Jax as she stepped near him.
“I’m fine.” Jax responded.
“Liar. After I get you back to base, I’m coming back. Kano’s still here somewhere.” Sonya explained.
“Your obsession with him is gonna get you killed.” Jax said as she was trying to protect Sonya from doing something stupid.
“I trusted him.” Sonya replied.
“Yeah, we all did.”
“But I was the one he used.” Sonya said. “I think our ride’s here”
Sonya stepped to the edge and waved her hands above her head to get the attention of the S.F. helicopter. The helicopter was turning into a landing position then a fireball came flying from the side of them. The helicopter ignited in fire and flew down to the ground, crashing and making an explosion.
“No!” Sonya yelled. She looked at Shang Tsung and Kano. Shag Tsung’s hand was ignited in fire. She knew it was him. “Damn you!”
“You have a challenger.” Shang Tsung said. “Kano.” Kano walked forward as Sonya got ready for battle.
“Pretty boy ain’t gonna save ya this time.” Kano said.
Sonya used her wrist equipment to send a sonic blast towards Kano. It knocked Kano away and he was knocked into a wall. Kano quickly jumped up and somehow rolled into a ball in the air and smashed against Sonya. Sonya fell but got back up as soon as she could. She ran to Kano, kicked him in the knee then elbowed his back. That kept him down.
“You’re comin’ with me.” Sonya said walking towards Kano. Then a fireball flew in front of her making a small fire ignite not letting her get near Kano.
“Kano is not your prisoner.” Shang Tsung said.
“At least help Jax. He needs a medic!” Sonya said angrily. But Shang Tsung just walked past her doing nothing. Then Kano, Kitana and Jade followed him.
“Bastard.” Sonya said.

Sorry for the swearing had to do it...

“There she is!” A voice came behind her. Sonya turned seeing Johnny Cage, Raiden and Liu Kang walking forward. “Sonya! You all right? Hey, looks like you found ‘im. S’up, Sarge.” Johnny said.
“He’s a me--… Hey, what are you doing?” Sonya asked as she saw Raiden getting close to Jax.
“It’s ok. He’s cool.” Johnny said pulling Sonya back.
“What the?” Jax said.
“Jax!” Sonya yelled.
“Seriously. He’s cool.” Johnny said pulling Sonya back again.
Raiden was using his lightning to heal Jax. His wounds healed up. The blood on him got cleaned and Jax was fine. He was back to his old self.
“That’s amazing!” Jax said as he looked on his arms.
“Told ya! Turns out he’s a god!” Johnny said to Sonya.
Jax then stood for the first time in a while and Raiden approached Sonya.
“Thank you… Raiden.” Sonya said.
“Gratitude in unnecessary.” Raiden started to explain his problem. “I have foreseen events, like memories of my future. They lead me to believe that you are all connected to Earthrealm’s fate.”
“What have you foreseen?” Liu Kang asked.
“In my visions, Shao Kahn becomes invincible. He destroys all life in Earthrealm. We will all die.” Raiden explained. “I believe these flashes are a guide to defeating Shao Kahn. But disrupting the flow of time can have serious consequences.”
“I’m not worried. I bet you can win this thing no problem.” Johnny said.
“Unless directly challenged, I cannot participate.” Raiden replied.
“What should we do besides standing around looking pretty?” Johnny asked.
“For now, the tournament must run its course.” Raiden replied.
“Alright then.” Sonya said after a while of her talking. “We’re with you, Raiden.”

It was pretty hard, after playing through the story I had to look on youtube for the Story walkthrough so I can get every speech and every part of the story correct... :p

Everyone was inside the arena waiting for Shang Tsung to start the next battle. As the kontestants waited a guard came in standing next to Cyrax. Raiden looked at the guard and a vision suddenly came to him.
Kung Lao was battling Baraka.
Raiden moved from his current location and stood next to the guard.
“Kombatants! The next match will now begin!” Shang Tsung yelled. In the battle area a flame came from the floor then the figure of Scorpion appeared.
“Scorpion! Specter of Netherrealm! Resurrected by the sorcerer Quan Chi!” Shang Tsung yelled again. “Who among you is worthy of this challenge?”
“Where is the Lin Kuei Sub-Zero? He killed my family and clan. I will have his head!” Scorpion yelled looking around him.
As Raiden approached the guard he started to talk. “I know it is you, Kung Lao.” Raiden said to the guard. “The Shaolin Monks chose Liu Kang to represent your order in this tournament.”
“I am Liu Kang’s equal!” Kung Lao said.
“That remains to be seen.” Raiden replied.
“Watch and see.” Kung Lao said stepping forward near the battle area. He pulled off his mask and dropped his weapon. “I accept the challenge!” Then he took off his robe revealing his battle clothes underneath.
“Kung Lao?” Liu Kang said.
Shang Tsung saw the Shaolin and was angry.
“Never mind the Lin Kuei. Now you face a Shaolin.” Kung Lao said as he put on his hat.
“You will regret your impulsiveness.” Scorpion replied.
Kung Lao threw his razor sharp hat at Scorpion which gashed his chest with blood spilling out. But the Hellspawn was unaffected and he threw his Kunai attached to a rope with blinding speed. As the Kunai penetrated the monk's chest, Scorpion yelled "Get over here!!" and pulled Kung Lao closer and connected with a devasting uppercuT which sent the monk flying to the far end of the stage. Scorpion, dashed towards the monk ready to finish him off, however Kung Lao was quick to his feet and spun his hat and himself around, creating a swirling energy around him which hit scorpion and sent him flying into the air. But before the hellspawn landed on the floor, he quickly teleported behind kung Lao and punched his back using the velocity of the teleport, sending him crashing to the ground. Kung Lao, however was not ready to give up since he wanted to prove himself and threw his hat again at scorpion. The Hellspawn, however ridiculed him by skillfully catching the hat and propelled it back at kung lao and succesful found its mark on the monk's chest. Kung Lao was knocked out, the battle was over.
“You are not yet a warrior.” Scorpion said.
“Kung Lao!” yelled Liu Kang and he ran towards him to aid him.
“Listen when your elders speak! You could not win this fight.” Raiden said as he approached Kung Lao and helped him get up from the floor.
Scorpion turned to Shang Tsung. “I have defeated the challenger, Shang Tsung! I demand Sub-Zero!” Scorpion yelled. A vision then came to Raiden.
Scorpion held the head of Sub-Zero with a part of the spine attached. Then a picture of a new warrior came to his vision. He was named Noob Saibot.
“You will demand nothing!” Shang Tsung exclaimed. “Nightwolf!”
Nightwolf stepped forward to Scorpion.
“Your aggression is misplaced.” Nightwolf said.
“What do you know of my past?” Scorpion asked.
“You are not the only one whose people have been victimized.” Nightwolf replied as he stepped away from Scorpion. “I have found new purpose in serving the Spirits. I do not cling to the past.”
“You no longer seek retribution? You dishonor your kind.” Scorpion said. “I will honor the memory of my fallen.”
As the battled started Nightwolf threw two green axes towards Scorpion’s chest. It stuck into him and Scorpion couldn’t pull them out because when he did his hand just went through it. So Scorpion had to keep them in him. He jumped forwards then slashed Nightwolf with his sword in the air. Scorpion then jumped backwards, far away from Nightwolf. Then Nightwolf got up and used the power of the spirits to power down a lightning stroke upon Scorpion. Scorpion then made a flame ignite underneath Nightwolf and it burnt part of his skin. Then Scorpion ran to him and used the rope with the sharp edge to stick it into his neck then kicked him away. That hurt Nightwolf’s neck and he couldn’t fight no more.
“The spirits have forsaken you, Shaman.” Scorpion said.
“An impressive start!” Shang Tsung yelled.
“You waste my time, sorcerer!” Scorpion yelled igniting a flame on his hand.
“Restraint, Scorpion.” The sorcerer, Quan Chi said.
Scorpion lowered his hand and the flame went away.
“You will fight Sub-Zero soon enough.” Shang Tsung said. He then stood and walked off and out of the arena.
“Scorpion, I understand your desire for revenge. But Nightwolf is right. There are other ways in which you may find peace.” Raiden said as Scorpion turned.
“Sub-Zero deserves death.” Scorpion replied.
“Defeat Sub-Zero if you must, but do not kill him. I fear his death will give rise to a more treacherous foe.” Raiden said.
“I will have my revenge!” Scorpion yelled.
“Spare Sub-Zero’s life and I will request that the Elder Gods return the Shirai Ryu to the realm of mortals.” Raiden explained.
After a short think, Scorpion nodded his head and agreed to the deal. Raiden then nodded and walked off with Liu Kang and Kung Lao.
Later Scorpion entered the Throne Room of Shang Tsung where the other kombatants were staying.
“I understand there are benefits to the Grand Master’s plan…” Cyrax said as Scorpion entered. “…but his plan goes against Lin Kuei principles.”
“We are Link Kuei, Cyrax. We will obey the Grand Master’s commands.” Sektor replied.
“It means giving up our free will… our souls. It will turn us into—“ Cyrax said as he was interrupted by Sektor when Scorpion approached them.
“Scorpion.” Sektor said.
“Your inferior clan is dead. Soon you will join them.” Cyrax said to Scorpion.
“My clan may walk the Earth once more.” Scorpion replied. Suddenly Cyrax pushed Scorpion and Scorpion got angry. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi walked beside Scorpion.
“A challenge! Scorpion versus Cyrax and Sektor!” Shang Tsung yelled.
“Your obsession with Sub-Zero ends here.” Cyrax said as he got ready to battle.
As they started Scorpion used his blade to slash Cyrax as he came running to him. Then Cyrax let out a bomb from the belt he was wearing. It blew up Scorpion and the smoke covered his eyes. Then when the smoke disappeared Sektor was ready to attack. He used his rocket launcher homing attack and it blew Scorpion up again. Scorpion got angrier and used his rope spear to grab Sektor and he pulled him close. Scorpion then punched Sektor 3 times, but on the 3rd time his hand ignited in flames and the flame burnt Sektor’s neck. Then Cyrax jumped in and threw a bomb again. But Scorpion was quicker and he grabbed it and threw it back at Cyrax. He blew up.
“Scorpion wins!” Scorpion heard Shang Tsung yell.

“I will have my revenge, but I will not kill Sub-Zero.” Scorpion said.
“Will not? Or cannot?” Sub-Zero said as he walked through the doors.
“The Shirai Ryu are dead. You will suffer as they did.” Scorpion said as he approached Sub-Zero.
“To hell with your clan.” Sub-Zero replied.
“No… To hell with you!” Scorpion yelled as he grabbed Sub-Zero and a portal opened underneath them.
“The Netherrealm.” Sub-Zero said as they arrived at the portal location.
“This is where I was reborn.” Scorpion said. “This is where you will pay!”
Sub-Zero slid on a row of ice and made Scorpion fall by knocking him off his feet. Then he used his ice blade to slash Scorpion. But Scorpion had his normal blade and not a block of ice that was shaped like a blade. Sub-Zero then blew ice towards Scorpion, making him into a block of ice. Scorpion quickly broke out of the ice block and ignited a fire underneath Sub-Zero but he jumped out of it. In the air, as Sub-Zero was falling, Scorpion grabbed Sub-Zero’s leg and smashed him on the ground. Then using his blade he slashed his arm. Sub-Zero then grabbed Scorpion’s body, turned him around and stabbed his ice blade into his back. He then pulled it out and it broke in half. Scorpion then used his spear to pull Sub-Zero towards him then he grabbed Sub-Zero’s arm, before he tried to turn Scorpion into ice and he pushed his arm against him. It then made Sub-Zero a block of ice and Scorpion burnt the ice and kicked him back into a small pool of lava. It burnt part of his arm and he was in pain.
“I have avenged my family and clan.” Scorpion said. Then Quan Chi appeared.
“This is your retribution?” Quan Chi asked. “Scorpion. Kill him.”
“I… I will not. He has been beaten.” Scorpion replied as he hesitated.
“Have you forgotten?” Quan Chi asked as he used his sorcery to create a smoke field showing the past events of his clan.
“What is this?” Scorpion asked.
Houses were burning. People were being killed by the Lin Kuei up on the ledge.
“No…” Scorpion said.
A head was cut off of a person as a Lin Kuei rode behind him on a horse. A sword was stabbed in a man’s chest. Many more died under the power of the Link Kuei. Then a blue Link Kuei appeared on a horse with a blade in his hand.
“Your clan. Your family.” Quan Chi said.
A picture of a woman appeared. Holding a baby in her arms. Then the door opened. The blue covered Lin Kuei appeared. The sword of him was then pulled out and was used to slice the woman and the baby. Blood covered the walls and petals flew away.
“No!” Scorpion yelled in anger. The smoke faded and Sub-Zero appeared.
“That is not me!” Sub-Zero said.
Scorpion then pulled off his mask and revealed a fire covered skull.
Back at the throne room many kombatants were awaiting Scorpion’s arrival. Then Scorpion appeared. Scorpion pulled up a skull in his hand.
“Ouch.” Johnny Cage said.
Scorpion then slowly dropped it and it landed on the ground, smashing into many pieces. Scorpion then ignited in fire and he disappeared.
“Despite my efforts, my vision has come to pass.” Raiden said as he approached the pile of pieces of a skull. “An unfortunate end. He once defended Earthrealm from the Netherrealm armies of Shinnok and Quan Chi.”
“Scorpion will pay for this!” Cyrax yelled.
“Sub-Zero’s fate is his own doing.” Raiden replied.
“His own doing?!” Cyrax yelled.
“The Lin Kuei have a history of making ruinous choices.” Raiden said facing Cyrax. Cyrax just walked off. “Such as the Cyber Initiative.” Cyrax suddenly stopped as he heard that.
Cyrax turned. “I am among those speaking out against the Grand Master’s plan. Surgically turning the Lin Kuei into glorified robots? It kills out intuition. Our instincts.” Cyrax explained.
“Did you speak out against the Lin Kuei’s participation in this tournament?” asked Raiden.
“We were invited by Shang Tsung.” Cyrax answered.
“He pays you to kill Earthrealm warriors.” Raiden said. “Betraying your own realm? I expect better. Even from an assassin.”
“My loyalty is to the Grand Master.” Cyrax replied. He walked off but was then interrupted.
“Victory for Shang Tsung means the end of Earthrealm. And the Lin Kuei.” Raiden said before Cyrax exited. But Cyrax continued walking out. As he walked out Baraka saw him and followed him.

Good update mate! You are getting much better with each chapter. The Scorpion vs Nightwolf and Scorpion vs Cyrax and Sektor were really good! Ill send you some corrections soon.=D
 
Been a while since I wrote any of this or any of Fire & Ice.
Well I am going to be focusing on Fire & Ice mostly but when I have time this will also be written, I actually had 2 chapters finished but when I lost all my files on my old laptop they went with it so I will soon continue =D
