I'd be surprised if Havik wasn't at least dlc. Especially with their new "Gore tech". It'd be a shame if it was Kabal who had the grossest fatality in the game. Havik could definitely take the crown
 
They should really go all out with Havik. Make him The Thing levels of bodyhorror. I want him to have a command grab where his stomach explodes and his intestines fly out to grab you

Getting rid of that Full Auto bullshit that attracted spammers who don't know how to play. There, character fixed.

Deflated? We still yet have to see what the characters look like. Everybody knew Kabal was going to be revealed that Tuesday yet people were still anticipating it. Hell Kabal was trending on Twitter that day. Dvorah too.

We’d hope for that, but unfortunately this is the same fanbase that the Reiko dude was part of, and there are plenty of people on Twitter, FB and reddit who don’t seem too far removed from him.
With MK11 it’s the Mileena and Reptile fans who seems to be more toxic, this time around.

Well, we got a FRO there. If it is Frost, I think she deserves another chance, much like many other characters. I'm happy if she's in.

Now KOL...well, [MENTION=11230]Guyver Spawn[/MENTION] mentioned "Kollector", but I only heard this on that guy from youtube that claims to have leaked the roster (I dodn't trust btw). Also, the only Kollection I know is the One Being, but I doubt he would hijack Kronika neither be a secondary character, specially becase he is, you know, the realms. Still, we shall see what's about that.

KOL CET TER are either placeholders or new characters.

I still wonder if they are not aware of these things tho. Isn't too convenient that the names stop right there? It could also be the fact that "TROPHY_ID_PERFORM_2_DIFFERENT_FATALITIES_WITH_" only has 3 more elements only, still, it's all too easy this time.

I'll be surprised if Noob isn't in, but not even Geras is there, so I hope more is coming.
 
You know, with the lack of any male ninjas at all besides Sub and Scorp, I wonder if they'll pull a triborg from MKX and put in Chameleon as DLC.
 
Chameleon is possible, though if Noob ain't base roster, I guarantee he'll be the front runner for the Kombat Pack like Red hood was for Injustice.
 
I'm not expecting Noob or most of the other male ninjas at this point, unless the roster expands as most of them have something going against them. Noob's tower thing kind of goes against him IMO since it uses his MK9 design.

The only male ninjas that I don't think are discounted quite yet are Ermac(ironically enough since people were counting him out from the get go because of Shang), Smoke, and Tremor. All three are connected to some existing faction to so they'd have a reason to appear in the story. If we saw just one of those characters in the roster at this point I wouldn't be worried at all.
 
I watched Maximillian Dood video and the guy is speaking my mind. These achievements could be a massive distraction. Some of them true, and some of them not. Cause it is really hard to believe that someone could mess up this bad.

So for now I think the safest bet, will be thinking, that not all of this is true. If I was in their position, and tried to pull a stunt like that, I would definitely put in some names, that are already confirmed, so people would actually think this is legit.

Not to mention NRS has been on full troll mode.

Now while Dood speaks truth when he says that this could cause people to get disappointed... this is a lose-lose situation. And NRS knows it. If roster is real, then people who didn't get their chars, will get mad. If roster leak is not entirely real, then people who expected their characters to appear will be disappointed, while others will be happy to know that their chars are coming.

This all could be just a PR stunt. Also QLOC is known for quality work. Hard to believe that THESE guys, would make a mistake like that. I know that there is a saying "Even a master makes mistakes", but this one... just doesn't feel right. Out of blue, I get to see Frost? Just like that? Too good to be true.
 
See normally I would agree with you, but my problem is ... why make them the names of real characters? Why not just have a bunch of joke names if that was the case instead of the names of real characters. I don't see how NRS and/or QLOC would stand to gain anything from doing something like this other than cause discourse. Sure NRS and more specifically Boon have been known to troll for laughs, but they have never gone to this level before.
 
Well that's the risk we as gamers have gotta take and we should know that many developers have fake character list "leaked" in order to throw us off while getting us excited and talking. Yeah if the list proves fake it will leave a lot better expectations and people's hype with be increased. So people complaining about who will be in and who won't are stressing themselves for no reason. Trust me once February is out of the way. Boon and company will give us the rest of the characters. They aren't going to milk the roster forever and I expect them to use early April to announced the Kombat Pack so the based roster needs to be fully revealed no later than mid March
 
Not to sound bad but Ill be honest, if this is a fully fake list I will be a bit pissed off with Ed and Co. (or maybe just QLOC idk) because all of this debate and discourse would have been really dumb and unnecessary, like literally why.
 
In my case I'm just expecting what the leak says with all of the characters it does say. I mean honestly, those are some pretty good names already. People REALLY wanted Erron Black and Jade for instance, and I know Frost has a good following, I did not expect her or Skarlet. This game seems to have a pretty good selection of female ninjas in the base roster. Jacqui I expected to succeed Jax. Those three unknown codenames are wild cards. Completely new characters seems pretty unnecessary to me when they're already juggling so many previous characters.

So my suspicion is that something is up with the three unknowns. Does it make much sense that only three returning characters have codenames? Not really. But anything's possible considering the leak itself is weird. I thought with a leak like this the entire roster would have leaked for instance rather than just part of it. That to me doesn't make much sense either. And you know the entire leak itself may be fake, though it's very, very slim. But I remember that a ton of people including myself thought that one smash poster was definitely the final roster for Smash Ultimate. And then the final direct comes and then boom, all of those characters minus Ken decomfirmed. So it's always good to keep a bit of an open mind.

Honestly, I'm somehow more uncertain on how the roster is going to end up after this leak than I was before.

Simple. To throw people off. Look at Marvel. Infinity War trailer had Hulk in the trailer, but in the movie, it was Hulk Buster. Same can be done here.

If anything that might even increase the hype. People were already expecting certain characters, now this roster gets leaked, and it seems everything is, but confirmed, and then BOOM. Nope. Just chuck testa guys. People then will be completely thrown off. So who will be in the game and who won't? How much of the roster is real? Way harder to predict the chars then.

And funny enough. They can allows themselves this shit. They don't have much time, before the release. What... like 2 and + months? That's it. So they can allow themselves to cause a small chaos. For MKX they had almost a full year to drip the characters. One by one. But now they are revealing characters in duos.

I am telling you. Frost being just thrown in like that, smell fishy for me. I mean. I don't expect a freaking ceremony for her, but this is just too good. My bullshit sensors are picking something.
