"Nobody watches Batman for realism. They're watching it for escapism."
> TDK is widely considered a masterpiece and beloved by the vast majority of critics and fans alike
Just because you can't see any potential in the MK franchise to rise above the genre-schlock it used to be, doesn't mean there isn't any.
It has nothing to do with realism. It had a good writing. DC animated universe is having positive feedback, thought it goes full crazy. That's writing is good.
People like then the world has set rules. For Nolan's batman series rules were pretty simple, so people could relate more. But let's say Avatar. 3 bil. Realism? Hah. Yeah, sure.
No it was because the world felt alive. There was an established eco system, beautiful world to show, rules were clear, reasoning was clear, and the message was clear. Humans weren't made evil for the sake of being evil. They had their own motivations, and we were seeing everything from native's point of view. For them it was evil. For humans, it was just business.
Also to answer your previous post. MK last versions are anything but realism. The moment they introduced X Ray's any semblence of realism went POOF. Like a smoke.
