Mortal Kombat 11 General Discussion Media Thread

Seemingly being a construct of Kronika's, as well as him voicing his loyalty to Kronika multiple times, I feel like he's just gonna stay as her henchman, but a heel turn at some point in the story would be interesting, maybe he would come to value something of the new timeline and have a change of heart?

If Reptile's not playable in MK11, then I'm thinking that maaaaaaaaybe it could be a reference to Onaga, given that Reptile's body was used as the host for Onaga in the old timeline.
Argh! I need some of the answers to these questions.

Like, now that Geras and Kronika are confirmed, does this also mean that there is an anti-Geras / Kronika new MK11 character, as rumored, who maybe DOES agree with Raiden and / or disagrees with Kronika?

Well, those old leaks - the ones that didn't mention Skarlet but did mention Kronika and Geras (even Ronda) by name - stated that Geras would be at odds with Kronika. I believe that leak is legit, but it was possibly from an early draft. But who knows right?

I think Geras being a sub boss is a little "meh", except if he's Shang Tsung MKII style. I wouldn't mind seeing Onaga as sub-boss, even though I always wanted him to return as big bad.

About Raiden messing with the Dragon King's plan, I think two ways: either Raiden did by accident sending Cassie, or he was already Dark Raiden (we can't see his eyes on that ending) and sent Cassie knowing Shujinko was innocent, since he had visions of Onaga in MK9.

Anyway, Deception timeline was confusing, and we don't know the equivalent time compared to MKX. Sonya and Cage could absolutely be at their 50s during Deception, but graphics couldn't tell, and they only mentioned in MK:DA that Earthrealm has enjoyed relative peace for many years. So, the return of the Dragon King could totally be delayed if Cassie indeed killed Shujinko and that fight happened in what would be the time Shujinko would do something relevant for his return.

Also, Edenia wasn't freed due Raiden's changes, but I think Onaga would only need Outworld's Kamidogu. The Amulet also stood under Raiden's protection for a long time.

That raises an interesting question then: when MKX was set when comparing the unchanged timeline? I don't think nobody has this answer.
 
I wonder if we'll get a trailer tomorrow. I don't think they'll throw one together if it wasn't planned, but if there was one scheduled I think it'll at least get leaked. The French and Latin divisions of WB games have accidentally posted trailers ahead of time before.

I still remember when they were supposed to reveal KP2 at the Game Awards and then WB Latin leaked the trailet hours ahead of time, so they didn't even bother showing it at the awards :laugh:

Don't pay attention to that leak. It just piggybacked off the email leak and tried to add more
 
I don't know if they will really do anything tommorrow, as it doesn't seem like there gonna have people at there office to slap anything together. Though on the bright side we are also getting more information next week on the Xbox livestream.

You could try and remake Ashrah into a badass, or you could just use that roster spot for Noob Saibot, who is already a well loved badass. It's the safer bet, which is why NRS usually goes for it.

Like I ADORE Ferra/Torr, he's up there in my top 10 favorites of the series. But I've already accepted the fact that he wont be back because the fans hated him.

I can understand that. Though I'm hoping at least one post trilogy character that wasn't playable in either MK9 or MKX makes the initial roster at least. And maybe one or two more added as DLC.
 
Regarding Skarlet's look, I'm in love with her Russian costume

I hate this skin because it seems like visual soup to me, just like I hate Kabal's design because it seems like visual soup to me. You love this skin, and you love Kabal. Please excuse my pointless observation. 3 AM brings that out in me.
 
Not me. It makes her look exactly like an Earthrealm character. So far we have an ISIS suicide bomber, an MMO cosplayer, and a KGB agent.

Those thigh-high boots seem to resemble more of an old Outworld Kitana / Mileena look (IMO), with the rest being that of a spy.
I’m sure that she’ll have other costumes to choose from, though.
 
Boots is the last thing I'd feel are Outworld-y. Baraka is running around I his underwear, Mileena was wearing pants in X. I don't see where you take this connection from, if anything it makes it more Earthrealm-y. I think my biggest issue with Skarlet isn't the outfits. Shao Kahn looks like a nutsack without his mask and now has those mutant arms, Baraka is self explanatory. Ermac's a zombie mummy. Mileena is an experiment gone wrong. Skarlet is just a cosplayer :lol:
 
You don’t see how I could make the connection with the boots, given that they seem to resemble the klassic Kitana / Mileena thigh-high boots from MKII / UMK3?
