So, in a recent interview with Kamidogu (about 8 months ago) it seemed like Mara Junot got a lot of love for her VO as Sindel in MK11.
She doesn't outright say anything about MK1 or hint at it, but that interview gave off the vibes that given that she did a good job in MK11 that perhaps she could be Sindel again (if any of these leaks are right).


I say all of that because Kelly Hu is voicing Ashrah in the Caged Match movie, so with that SDCC panel I'm low key hoping that Ashrah, Li Mei, Nitara or all 3 of those characters gets confirmed as playable for MK1.
It's been 2 fucking months with only Kenshi revealed as playable from the post-MK3 era, so crossing my fingers.

Game mode reveals are better suited for their dumb Kombat cast IMO. I wouldn't exspect any real surprises considering NRS have been doing nothing but playing it super safe up until this point. The last thing they want to do is accidentally show anything that begins with the word micro and ends with transaction. Dragon crystals aside they've been real coy on the subject as they should be.

If I don't know the whole motherfucking roster of a fighting game by the time that the game comes out, then they don't deserve a goddamn pre-order and that holds true not just for MK but for all games. Plain and simple.
I'm not going to reward devs for not giving me the full information of what it is that they want me to pay $70 for.

Yeah, figured. I expect them to reveal game mode, only way before the launch. So the blowback isn't as strong.
 
My guess is that they're saving gameplay modes for Gamescom which is an entire month away.
Sucks, but I wouldn't doubt that being the case with the way that their marketing has been horrendous for this game.

IF this ends up being the "huge content bomb" for MK1 and by some miracle we end up getting something like 4 or 5 characters shown, I could easily see them going silent for a whole fucking month and resting on their laurels until the Beta drops.
Gotta get those pre-orders coming in.

I have this love /hate relationship going on with MK1 right now. Lol
Like, give me these damn characters since it's been 17 fucking years, but also crossing my fingers and saying in my head "please don't suck," all while being pissed off at their shitty marketing for it.
It's fucking exhausting wanting something to turn out to be good, but at the same time being worried that it'll end up being shitty.
Kind of like the heart and brain comics, but the brain is kicking the shit out of the heart. :ROFLMAO:
 
Li mei is so fucking fine I like how they brought back her heel slam from DA and made it apart of her moveset. I wasn't expecting Tanya, Im glad to see my sneaky traitor edinea to show up, althought Im not really diggin her design this time around. I feel Baraaka could of been DLC. Darrius as a kameo 🤣🤣 My jaw is dropped. Im so glad too see the order realm FINALLY get some luv. , Li mei just looks soooo fun they really nailed it with her design and gameplay. Okay NRS/WB yall got me, Im not fully convinced yet, somehow I think they gonna find a way in fuck it up like they always do. Still waiting on Nitara, Sareena, Reptile reveals 😋
 
Tanya doesn't look anything like Tanya from the previous games IMO. Li Mei returning is awesome to see. Baraka just looks like a copy paste MK11 model.
 
Kombat Pack, that's an ugly ass Ermac lol. Quan Chi looks cool though.

There is also a low res screenshot of Reiko,looks very similar to MK4 to me,thats fine.Li Mei and Tanya look like NPCs,at least Darrius was a cool surprise.What happened to Ermac :ROFLMAO:
