Pretty much, now you're getting it.....in fact MK's whole legacy is built off of glitches and bullshit....for example Ermac was just a bug testing menu feature in OG MK called''ermac'' which stood for ''error macro'' Boon programed in but people swore it was a secret character lol. You have to remember the old 90's MK games had a mystic about them thanks to Reptile being a secret character. There was all kinds of crazy rumours about those games at school/Arcades back than and of course most of those things turned out to be B.S. Boon just fed off of that energy or should I say ''happy little accidents'' and just added that stuff in the next game..but be careful what you wish for.......NRS could give you that MK9 demaster you always wanted...........But you're on a forum about a game franchise that's basically a massive glitch....
Take MK9 for instance, NRS best game. Dash cancelling? Glitch. Crazy combos that restand/reset for 100% damage? Glitch. Infinites? Glitch. Random Cage +10 on block? Glitch. Then you take MK11 that's less glitchy, but is also boring as fuck.
It's not just MK9, games prior to that were glitch fests. 3D era was rather notorious for that as well. Even characters... Skarlet was made because of a glitch...
Sounds like one of my friends defending Bethesda "It's not a glitch it's a feature!''lol. Just because something is ezmode or hard doesn't mean it was meant to be in the game. Back in the 90's very few arcade games where play tested obviously to the extent big AAA are today. They would release revisions to patch up infinites and other game breaking bugs but even that was just applying a bandaid to a internal bleeding wound. I remember REO from the MK9 days saying ''MK2 is the most busted fighting game ever made'' lol.
The heck.... not sure why you're giving me an MK history class. You've made a point that glitching out a game, like MK2 in this instance, required skill.... But that's the thing, it didn't.Pretty much, now you're getting it.....in fact MK's whole legacy is built off of glitches and bullshit....for example Ermac was just a bug testing menu feature in OG MK called''ermac'' which stood for ''error macro'' Boon programed in but people swore it was a secret character lol. I really doubt a game that allows you to be punished, for punishing someone else falls within "tested" area. More like. "Let's put as little as possible, so we don't have to actually worry about balancing" area.Well considering how boring MK11 turned out.....I'd say yes.
Are you referring to the Flawless blocking mechanic? If that's the case than yes it works as intended since it can be used to get around being negative on block. Is it dumb? Yes but that's bad game design not lack of play testing lol.I really doubt a game that allows you to be punished, for punishing someone else falls within "tested" area. More like. You brought up scarlet being a glitch in MK2 which is why I mentioned how Ermac came to be. As far as the glitchy stuff goes It depended on what you trying to do. You mentioned Kitana being ''ezmode'' but landing some of scorpion's teleporting spear combo stuff was a lot harder. Not to mention not very consistent. You could even argue it was more random luck than skill in some situations. That was the point I'm trying to make. Some people with the right character could break the game better than others wether or not you want to call that ezmode/skill is subjective. Obviously I'm talking about the OG arcade games and not some PC emulation that's been modded or changed insome way.The heck.... not sure why you're giving me an MK history class. It's not subjective when all you need to break MK games are a pair of fingers.... I mean..you're just saying what I already said earlier but ok. We'll just have to agree to disagree. It's not subjective when all you need to break MK games are a pair of fingers.... MK games are basically a massive glitch, that's why I brought up Skarlet and etc.
2 fucking weeks since we last got anything on this game.At this fucking rate, I'll probably have to wait until September 14th when people are playing it to see all of the main roster characters and get 100% confirmation.
Goodness gracious, their marketing has been fucking horrible for this game.
May 18th - cgi trailer - Johnny in the FAQ
June 8th - SGF gameplay trailer - 1 new playable character revealed
July 6th - 2 more playable characters + 3 kameos revealed
August ??? - possibly 2 more playable characters + 3 more kameos via gameplay trailer & the Kombat Kast for a "deep dive" of 2 already revealed characters.
September - release time
Well... San Diego Comic Con is happening, so I bet they will drop a huge content bomb. They will reveal whole... 2 characters?2 fucking weeks since we last got anything on this game.
I hate that this has actually become prophesy.
So much for the whole Boon bullshit of "There's going to be a very steady stream of new information, new reveals, and a new game mode is coming that we haven't talked about." and also "Every time you turn around, you're going to see a new character, a new Kameo, or something like that being introduced."
I guess that he assumes that people turn around 2 weeks at a time.
Where the fuck is all of this "steady stream of information" bullshit that Boon spoke of? Holy shit!
This is why I don't reward NRS with a goddamn pre-order, because I'm going to have to wait until the fucking thing releases and depend on people in the fanbase posting the full roster on YouTube or some shit.
Goodness gracious their fucking marketing is horrendous.
1 month between reveals with each of them having so few characters and not enough information (in general) about the game to show off.
Take the money and run, huh NRS?
With my luck it'll be 1 character and it'll be fucking Sindel (another MK3 character), since she also voiced her in MKX.Well... San Diego Comic Con is happening, so I bet they will drop a huge content bomb. They will reveal whole... 2 characters?
The best part about this... What date is it now?... When is it supposed to be released?....2 fucking weeks since we last got anything on this game.

It's the radio silence that kills any hopes for this, imo.The best part about this... What date is it now?... When is it supposed to be released?....
Oh..... Yup... I can definitely see those 4 years of development.![]()
If they won't reveal that "Bigger-Better" mode at a goddamn SDCC, then they are definitely in deep shit. It's the radio silence that kills any hopes for this, imo.
Yeah, I get that something is supposed to be shown at SDCC on Friday, but there's still 2 months and still we know absolutely NOTHING about game modes and story info...... and there's still 12~13 motherfucking roster characters that aren't confirmed.
Unless they somehow show like 5 or 6 playable characters on Friday at the panel / event, the wait from here until next month (or who the fuck knows when's the next Kombat Kast) is going to be brutal.
