While I agree with you on Jax, Sonya and Kano and those sitting out a game, when it comes to Kenshi I disagree.Ashrah? Nitara? Reiko? Li Mei? Havik? Yes! If the leak is legit, I'll be extremely happy. The 3D era characters literally have not made playable appearance in over almost 20 years since Armageddon. We have a lot of empathy for the 3D era fans who've been waiting since Armageddon to see their favorites re-imaged in 2D. All I was satisfied with was that characters from MK4 (Tanya, Quan Chi, Shinnok and Fujin) and Deadly Alliance (Kenshi, Bo' Rai Cho and Frost) actually got a chance to be playable in the NRS era. I really loved the new redesigned for Fujin, Sareena, Li Mei and Frost in the MKX story mode and I was disappointed that they were NPC instead of playable. I know Tremor was a 3D era character in MK: Special Forces as Sub-boss and he first debut as playable for DLC. I was just glad to see that Fujin and Frost have been playable in MK11, but MK11 is not my favorite MK game, it was slower and stupid new mechanics. So glad I never bought 11 because NRS kept bringing the same MK1-MK3 characters again for DLC that were already playable in MK9 and it was starting to get boring. MKX and MK9 DLCs had the rumored/unpopular/canceled MK characters like Skarlet, Tremor and Trilborg, which MK11 didn't. I skipped it in almost 4 years.
Kenshi again? There are more 3D era characters with tons of potential than Kenshi. Sonya, Kano and Jax are not playable? Please let not them be playable. Just keep them as Kameos. MK2 and Deception were the best MK games in franchise to get a million at the time, it didn't have Sonya, Jax and Kano.
Having him and potentially others like Ashrah, Havik, Reiko, Li Mei, Nitara and Tanya on the main roster and potentially Quan Chi as DLC is great when a majority of those have not been playable since Armageddon.
Quan Chi and Kenshi also skipped MK11, so I welcome their return.
