I think Shinnok is playable. Judging from his outfit.

we might be getting even more new kharacters if we go by that Roster leak, that guy was right about The Bow guy being Kung Jin and he was right about what Jaqui was wearing.

He was in a scene marching at the front of an army beside ermac.

Things in this trailer I loved beside everything

1. Cassie appears to be main protagonist, which is freaking perfect.
2. New characters at the forefront. Also perfect.
3. Old characters going new directions. Needed that BADLY
4. They kept everything quiet in terms of direction. We might have some story stuff to piece together,but I doubt Mileena is main enemy strongly.

Kitana was bad in this game.....
That´s why her dialogues were like that....
However, I´m a bit concerned about her being a Zombie the entire game... and maybe her human suit we´ve been seeing is just for Fanservice purpose....

It is making sense. The events of the Netherrealm War and THE AMULET (obviously!) are what trigger everything.

THE AMULET is the center piece of the story.

And the "blood demon" appeared.

Takeda is using whips, which increases Kenshi's likelihood significantly.

Yeah, problem is the zombie stage happens 25 years in, while people (Sub-Zero) get brought back way, way earlier.

Ed tweeted 5 characters in one day. So what do we know? Cassie is in she has 3 more in her crew so include them. Minus the zombies, we see mileena and rain could they be 4 and 5. I'm playing mk9 style here and saying shinnok won't be playable.

Those 5 would be my guess. Jin, Takeda, Jaqui, and Mileena to me are confirmed by this, with Black being very likely.

I finally found Erron. So excited! I think the 5 Ed was talking about were Mileena, Erron Black, Jacqui, Takeda, and Kung Jin. But we saw Johnny, Sonya, Shinnok, and Baraka(?) so I don't know.

So the Sub-Zero from this trailer is clearly Kuai Liang: MK3 stripes, the scar and he looks like he is the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. Since it's 25 years after MK9 maybe there will be Bi Han Sub-Zero in the first half of the story mode. Subs intros sometimes fit Bi Han and sometimes Kuai Liang.

EDIT: This is how I wanted him in MK9's MK3 part of the story and not a fvcking refrigerator.
