Aren't they adding fatalities to KI though?
I thought I read that somewhere.

Besides, the original KI is rated M.

They said that while under Double Helix's development in Season 1, they didn't say anything about it during the Season 2 panel at EVO this year so who knows.

You're right, so it wouldn't matter.

Keep an eye on The Kombat Tether: https://www.facebook.com/TheKombatTether

They will cover MKX extensively in the following days.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are a handful of details we accumulated from today's play session of Mortal Kombat X. We are going to be as thorough as possible with more coverage over the next two days!

- Kano's Fatality: He slices the opponents abdomen open with his knife causing intestines and entrails to spill to the floor. He then gets behind the opponent and laser burns a gaping hole through the victims head with his eye implant.
- Kano refers to Raiden as 'the big cheese' in his intro and then tells him to get his 'crystal ball fixed'.
- Dash-Cancelling is a thing of the past. Runs can be cancelled mid-run however.
- Characters get a wet sheen over them in the Jungle stage when they are knocked into the water.
- Most environmental leveraging can be meter-burned.
- All characters have universal moves like an uppercut and sweep but in their own personalised style.
- It appears some characters have a unique blocking animation. Raiden utilises a column of electricity in his hands.

Plenty more koming! Stay tuned! #Gamescom

Ed Boon didn't seem to mention Shinnok and Quan Chi invading Earthrealm/Outworld. Are they going to ditch the cliffhanger from MK9? I will be rather piss off if they did that.

Besides, the original KI is rated M.

Nope it was rated T.

Run canceling? Cool, it's better than nothing.

Did they say anything about canceling runs with specials or normals?

I have KI1 and rented KI Gold many times. I know for a fact that both are rated T. Reason for the T rating in KI, despite blood and fatalities, is that the fatalities in those games did not involve bodily dismemberment like MK's fatalities.

Thank you for this info. :)
Now I want to see Kano's full Fatality.

It seems they're going back way to MKII when the simplest moves were very unique for each character like the uppercuts, low punches and sweeps. MK9 already did this but now even blocking is unique. Me loves it!

-My other thought is that, if you notice during the fatality one of the Huge knives is missing from his back. Kano might stab them from behind with the knife and then proceed to blast them from behind.

I called it! Man i need to be at one of their fatality meetings!

I think it's truly awesome to see everyone have their own unique block animation. That shows how much work is going into this game. Anymore comments I see about how the developers of this game are being lazy deserves a good slap in the face with a cleat.

I'm also in awe over hearing the beginning part of Kano's fatality. It certainly must be a real gruesome looking one. Hope at least the guts that spill out aren't as little as how much came out of Kabal's fatality in 2011. But I certainly have faith that it'll look disgusting in a good way.

Can't wait for more information!

Or the chunks of meat in Skarlet's fatality. I never knew we had steak inside of our bodies.

I hope they took note that we all want to see some characters die this time.

Errr... Surely you noticed that a lot of characters, including fan favorites, died during MK9, right? I don't think they could - or should - top that. It won't have the same impact. Kano makes sense since we probably will see an entire "clan" wanting him dead (Cage, Sonya and their daughter), but I seriously hope they won't opt for the "whoooo death streak coolllzzzz" again.

Great news, though, and I have a feeling we will see Liu Kang involved in the battle for power.

Am I the only one that's bummed that it's almost thursday and we have practically nothing from GamesCom?

Can it be that the only thing meant to be shown at GC were Kano and the jungle stage?
Please tell me it isn't so.

I really fu***** not. Today's "info" has been very disappointing. And as cool as Kano's reveal was, this sh** was already leaked a week or so ago. So.... meh.

The events of MK4 - MKD and Taven still have yet to happen. Raiden could fix those, but I don't want him doing the same thing that he did in MK9. I hate rehashes.

I don't want it too. Specially I hope he does not prevent Shujinko's quest.

And I also hope that NRS does not pretend that nothing happens.

You know, MKX is released, no Shujinko, Onaga, Blaze (I mean, mentions at the least)...

then you twitter Vogel and he says "We wanted them to be canon, but they're not anymore" or any similar message that will make you burn.

Blaze is still around. I'm surprise he didn't show up in any Raiden's flashbacks or have a background cameo in MK9. He was a background character in MK2 afterall. As long he is still around, Armageddon can still happen. I don't mind his humanoid form, but I can see him getting killed off similar what happen to Motaro.
