~MK9 Tournament: Stages and Characters~

No matter how many times I read this thread I just can't understand. It's sad because I seem to be the only one too, I see everybody else contributing.( I'm not trying to diss or anything, I just can't understand it???)

It's a popularity contest. BlackCyborg puts the stages and characters against each other and we pick the winner.
And the characters and stages that win then fight against the other winners.
And we choose out of those.

And in the end there will be 1 stage and 1 character to win them all. And we'll see what the trmk community's favorite characters and stages are in order from most popular to least popular.
 
Soul Chamber scared me when I was younger. I would always try to uppercut the opponent to get to the higher tier stage just so I didnt have to see that face in the background....

On that note: Soul Chamber/Jax.

He pretty much covered it, but to anyone else confused, one thing he didn't specify is this is about MK9. So out of the options each day, vote for your favorite one of the two, in MK9. So even though you may have liked a certain character in the past more, this is judged on how the character and stage is in MK9, based on looks and gameplay etc. For instance: In the past I would have voted Raiden over Johnny pretty easily. However, Johnny has impressed me greatly, and he is tons of fun to play as, whereas Raiden just seems like same ol' Raiden, thus I think Johnny is the better of the two in this game. Just want to clearify that, because these types of things usually result in people just voting for their favorites from previous games regardless if they think they are the stronger character in this game. Same goes for stages.

It's a 24 Stage, and 24 character tournament. So come back every day, and vote from the selections given that day. Once Round 1 is over, Round 2 begins and the previous winners from Round 1 will fight...so on and so forth until there is only one Stage and one Character left. They will be recognized as the majority favorite stage/fighter amongst the TRMK community.

My votes are for Courtyard and Kano.

Well there's a couple of options, but I am thinking the best and most interesting way to go about it, is to have both of them advance to the next round, and compete against the winner of Kano vs. Jax. It's either that, or we flip a coin, or run a poll to decide who moves forward. As I said, having them both move on and making the next match be a 3 man match, is probably the most interesting and fair way to go about it. If I find another method more suitable before that match in Round 2, I will let you know.
 
soul chamber / Kano

Was a tough call for me for the character, cos Jax has always been a fav of mine, but Kano is just looking too damn badass in MK9, and his x-ray is one of my favourites.
 
Soul Chamber and Kano. Both were close decisions, but the soul chamber looks more Badass, and gameplay wise, kano looks better than Jax
