MK Australia Banning Discussion

Any other Aussies can't go online anymore? After entering my Kombat Pass and going Online, it says My Network Connection has been lost. It was working perfectly fine before the latest patch.

EDIT: Actually nevermind. I found my culprit. It was my sister downloading.

I was able to download it fine, but the problem is I can't use her online and she doesnt appear in the Nekcroplis. Also, Kratos seems to have disappeared online aswell. But it seems everyone else is having those problems so its not just Aussies.
 
I'm having issues adding my PayPal account to my UK Account to Purchase MS Points.

Keep getting this error:

Unable to complete your request
We cannot complete your request now, please try again later.
Message 40001

Does anybody have any ideas?

She's in the Nekropolis. I don't know the exact methods to get to her, but she's there. Also, you can't use Skarlet against someone who hasn't purchased her IIRC.

It might be similar to the PSN. The store knows that your PAYPAL/Card is Australian, so it won't accept it. The only way to get money into your account is to buy the prepaid cards.
 
Well thats just... not good at all!

Does anybody happen to know a reputable source for buying the Prepaid Cards from in the UK?

I am assuming that Game or someone like that would be the best bet?

Yea you have to just select a random character to view their bio then press start and go to character select then choose Skarlet. I just meant theres no character altar thing for her that all the other characters have.

Also, I played a guy online that headed for the dlc slot and kept pressing right almost as if he wanted to choose Skarlet but was unable to. I'm fairly sure this is a glitch.

I got my copy, no problems. Except one thing - I think it's a dodgy copy or something because I cannot select Kintaro, Goro or even Shao Kahn!

They don't seem to be on the select screen. I tried beating all the modes, unlocking all of the Krypt, but still nothing.

At first I though that maybe they weren't playable (lol - stupid, I know =P), but then I saw people using the characters on YouTube AND you can even use Goro in the Tower mode.

Dunno... it just must be bad luck that I ended up with a buggy disk. Too bad too because I wanted to play a character without a teleport or shared moves... =/
 
So I heard that Warner Bros are going to block all Australian ISP's to prevent us from accessing online. I hope it isn't true though.

Goro, Kintaro and Kahn were never meant to be playable (with the exception of Goro in Tower Challenge). What you saw were people hacking into the game and playing as them.

Where on Earth did you hear that? That would be ridiculous. Doesn't WB want more players?
 
Any Australians with a PS3 able to play online? I haven't been able to get online since I got the game. I just recently gathered the inclination to move my PS3 back to my room so I can have it wired to the modem and still no luck.

If so, which version do you have? American, UK, New Zealand??? Please let me know. I need to figure out why I can't connect. I have a NAT2 connection and about 10Mb/s connection. Should have no problems.
 
It's working for me. Though two of the games I tried to play "was unavailable".

American version here. What does it say on the screen for you?
 
I've got an american version too (xbox 360), and it still works most of the time, depending on where the people im playing against live. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

It says "connecting to lobbies" then "exiting game" or something similar. It then tells me I should check my modem and network cables. To my knowledge, everything is OK. I have an NAT type 2 connection I have the proper port forwarding setup for PSN. Is there anything I'm missing in my network settings that is only specific to MK?
 
I haven't had any problems downloading the DLC. Skarlet works fine, online works fine, and if you guys want a reliable source for getting prepaid cards for uk xbox live points, I use pcgamesupply.com once u buy the Microsoft points, u receive the redemption code online almost immediately. Just don't download anything through the marketplace, use your UK account and access it through the game (start up MK, main menu > extras > downloadable content). This avoids paying for things twice and from the DLC being buggy.
