For me my Dead Rising 2 midnight release experience was awful. I preordered the Special Edition that came with Dead Rising Sun and all the Zombrex stuff. The Gamestop guy told me to come to the midnight release if I wanted to and there would be a costume contest. I went dressed up as my hero Frank West with a camera made out of cardboard. I busted my ass and arrived. The costume contest was already over and they didn't have the Special Edition in stock so I wasted my time and it was a school night. All I got at Gamestop was a free mini cupcake. I was extremely pissed off.

Now here's the killer question...by the time you showed up, were you the only person in costume? :D

I'm snagging Batman: Arkham City (collector's ed.) later this month at a Gamestop midnight release a block from my place. Hopefully it won't be overwhelmingly lame. Never been to a midnight release for a game before, so who knows. My area is known for lame. Extremely excited though since I really, really enjoyed Arkham Asylum.

As someone who enjoys costuming, that's a real shame. I was going to go to the local comic-con here as Catwoman and re-use the outfit for the B:AC release, but I wound up not going nor doing the costume, so... Meh. Laziness wins!

I went to the pre-release for Mortal Kombat and Halo: Reach.

That about it and nothing cool or interesting happened. Boring as all hell. Especially the Reach release. At least at the MK release, we could play about an hour before midnight so we could keep ourselves occupied and gawk at the awesomeness that is MK9.

You guys aren't raising my excitement levels any. I better bring an economy size bottle of dweeb spray.

I'm considering going to the ME3 midnight release, but knowing where I live it'll probably be pretty boring.

Going to the EB Games midnight launch for Arkham City tonight. So happy to have an EB Games right across from my apartment <3

Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow, so I shall not open it and play it until I get home, or else I will not stop playing and will not show up for work :/

Well, I'm ready. Thing at our GameStop starts at 10ish, they said, so I'm killing time now. I hope there's some free food or something, I'm starving.

I just want to grab my stuff and get out of there, lol. Had I still been on afternoon shift, I would stick around, and I think my friend will be there, which would have made things even more fun, but I have to get up at 8 in the morning so, yeah, can't even play the game :(

I have nothing to do tomorrow (Hurrah for making my own hours) and my fiancee doesn't work tomorrow. So, yeah.

We're lame like that.

I have to be up at 4a.m. for work

so I can't play it either. time to stay away from the internet, for a couple days. I don't want no surprises ruining the suspense in the game.

I'm not a fan of harry potter,

but I feel bad for the fans when people were trolling everyone saying you know who died.

ok guys i gotta say this first part because it adds to the story. on the midnight release for mk9, on april 18th the evening before i bought an ounce of some blueberry kush, just to make my experience that much better for me.
i arrived at gamestop around 10:30 pm and there was alot of ppl there but it wasnt overwhelmingly packed, everyone was there having fun and the very first match that i watched as soon as i got there was johny cage vs cyrax at the rooftop. some guys asked me if i wanted to play next but i declined i rather watch them cause i didnt wanted to touch the game untill i got home. then around 11:30pm ppl just started forming the line and i say like 20 mins later there was a group of 3 white skater boys in front of me and all of a sudden i just heard this loud thud and as i look ahead i see one of them on the floor and he was having a minor seizure and the whole store got quiet. his boys were holding him trying to wake him up and like 2 minutes later he starts waking up and one of the employe helped him up and i told him to get him some water and someone else requested a chair. after everybody knew that he was ok one of the guys behind me said outloud "THAT WAS A GLITCH" and everybody in the store started laughing, i burst it out laughing i couldnt help myself, that caught everybody offguard lol i felt a little bad but he had to understand that it was all in fun and it was too funny. after witnessing this guy fall to the ground like that i was considering not smoking when i got home, i got scared for a bit but i did it anyways lol.

the messed up thing about it is that it happened to one of my boys one time, we were chilling and drinking by the train tracks just like how we used to do when we were kids and we always used to watched the trains passed by going like 100 mph like 15 feet in front of us ,it was a rush but this time it was different cause when the passanger train passed by i guess all of the lights from the train flashing at 100 mph in front of us made my friend collapse to the floor and had a mild seizure.

anyways i wonder how it will be this year when the midnight release for BF3 arrives. cant wait!!!!!

I'm gonna go to a midnight release one day. Well, whenever I get my license and there's a game worth going out at 12am to get. So when the game is released, do they already have them somewhere in the store or does a big truck deliver them or what? I've wondered that.

I've gotten a game before the midnight release. We use to have this store that would break out a few copies early for about ten bucks extra.

now-a-days, That could get you perma banned from a system no?

I've heard of some people playing games like a day before release and they got banned lol

That's why they stopped. Figured that If they got customers banned they might stop shopping there.

I went to the Arkham City midnight release today. Ran into a guy who had a weird creepy crush on me when I moved into this town (he works in the Subway down the plaza). It was all pretty lame.
