Mass Effect Thread ~ We'll bang okay?

It isn't mandatory. If you collect all of the war assets you get the same outcome as maximum galactic readiness

the whole war assets thing was terrible i have to say. i get it it was world war 2ish story but cmon the assets were bad.

personally as i said i have some nitpicks but i still liked it but i actually wouldnt mind a reboot of 3 at all

War assets were a hell of a lot better than mining for minerals.
Which is why I loved MP. Don't feel like flying around collecting shit? Play MP and you don't need to. They gave us options

meh i wouldve prefered it if recruiting was similar to mass effect 1 really. simply do that for war assets that way it adds more planet exploration

Planet exploartion is pretty nice when you see that "Rich" to the right. Suck that planet dry

Oh yeah I meant to share this:

I had Grunt and Jack on my team to get Thane and there was one more left. A basic Eclispe Vanguard with shields an such. Anyway, I take down her shields plus armor and begin to reload. To my left is Grunt who puts away his gun, shouts, "I am Krogan!" and bum rushes the broad killing her in one hit.

Like holy shit dude . He's a damn beast lol

My biggest gripes with ME3 are the lack of difficulty, streamlined combat system and auto-dialogue. These where the things that apparently made it more assessible for newcomers. I hate newcomers; developers treat them like drooling idiots.

Lack of difficulty? Play on insanity. That shit can get intense.
And auto dialogue is only an option. Don't need to choose it

Insanity is a joke. The game only throws a handful of enemies at you and they go down too fast. Plus, there's no NG+ lvl scaling like ME2 which means once you reach lvl 30/60, the game can't even keep up with you. Trust me, once you figure everything out, insanity becomes a breeze.

The combat system was dumbed down to the max. Everything combos into each other. Even the soldier can create power explosions. As a result, the classes lack variety because they all can be played the same way. Zero thought required, just power spam. ME2 had the best class variety, IMO. Each class required a completely different play style.

By auto dialogue I mean the game took away our ability to control what Shepard has to say. In ME1 and 2, you controlled about 98% of Shep's dialogue. ME3: about 50%. The dialogue wheel was downgraded as well. ME3 averages two choices per sequence. Whack!

Don't get me wrong, ME3 is a great game but it was definitely watered down.

I thought Insanity was pretty hard

I mean it got a lot easier when I bought the Black Widow, but still man. Shit is bananas

b-a-n-a-n-a-s

I kinda agree with Known Hero, the dialog did feel dumbed down a lot in 3, but personally I liked the streamlined combat. It just feels really smooth playing it movement wise, and I liked the power combo system although it was not handled too well in single player. The multiplayer is where the combat really shines, there is a lot of strategy and variety involved with not only the different classes but all the different characters in that class.

Also if you want difficulty in ME3 solo Platinum against Collectors. That shit is pure insanity.
