Unfortunately but I'm still bitter that Liu Kang is so clear candidate, even though that he is the #1 wasted slot in the roster. Even Jax is more interesting.

Especially since Liu Kang isn't even the mascot of the MK series (that belongs to Sub and Scorpion).

I think they said it's not to punish anyone, but almost like a little consolation treat for when someone rage quits on you. Not a deterrent just a little something extra instead of going back to the main screen. Good ole MK humor!
 
Mileena looks good, no complaints from me, and that's coming from someone who found her disposable as recently as MK9.

Takeda looks fantastic, they managed to get a lot of personality into his whip movements, from the way he tests it before battle, to his two alternate win animations - walking backwards away from opponent, letting the whips drag on the ground, and beating the whips into the ground, revving them up. Fantastic animations.

Kung Jin's gameplay doesn't look that interesting, but the Ancestral variation seems to have some nice tactical depth to it with the arrows. And he sounds like a smart ass, so at least he'll be interesting in the story.

Overall, fantastic stream. Entirely makes up for last week's lacklusterness.

I mean, that is fine, but isnt it going to be old after the 50th time it happens? And to clarify, I missed the portion of the stream where they covered it. I caught everything through them wrapping up kung jin and I just caught the end of the stream when I got home from work.

imo hes far more interesting than alot of characters but we wont go down that road.

Lol probably but still an OK touch. I think there will be more fatalities though. Either stage or something else. My guess would be that they won't release that though until the game launches

It might, it might not, but what's wrong with having it? It doesn't take any extra time so there's no way in which it's a nuisance for the winner.

And there's always offline matches. When your buddy sitting on the couch next to you ragequits, he's gonna have to watch his head explode.

You can also put it on YouTube for the purpose of public humiliation. I'll sure as hell be searching YouTube for Quitalities, and writing down PSN usernames so I know who's been rage quitting...and possibly telling people in public NOT to play against them.

Takeda looks badass but his voice is so weak... loving how different his variations are and he looks like a complete tank otherwise.

Mileena looks OK...just OK, but liking the new mouth design, never been a fan of hers but she looks pretty good.

Kung Jin is mixed. Decent voice and gimmick with the arrows, but looks pretty slow and hard to use.

Quitality was pretty lame, it won't stop quitters but whatever, is what it is, really want to know more about faction kills.

I think that's an online only thing.
If your buddy rage quits in 1 vs 1, his character would just stay still, or he would pause it and leave and go to the character select / switch screen, no?
 
Quitality = only a head explosion... how can you even like that? They could have done SOMETHING more original... Like a simple hari kiri...

Let me clarify further. I dont think it is stupid that the Quitality is there. I think it is lame that it was hyped up leading into the stream when it is generally pointless.

I support this. As someone who doesn't play online anyway, it was very underwhelming. When they say new "-ality" one thinks it's some cool way to finish off your opponent. Quitality, is a fun quirk for online play but not something you use to build up hype for the stream.
 
Please never allow 16bit into another one of these streams. He was so obnoxious.

On a side note. I still have no idea how these testers like Perfect Legend, Tom Brady and 16bit are even allowed to compete in tournaments. These have such an unfair advantage against other players. They get to play the game for months before the general public gets to

No, because people would then start quitting on purpose just to see those "more original" hara kiri type animations.

That would be disastrous.
