I never said or implied you in that reply, but people in this thread have suggested 24 character reveal, which I don't think is likely.

I think everyone is so hyped they are over analyzing/dissecting every tweet and are driving themselves crazy...
or maybe they're right, this is ed boon...maybe its been his plan all along

They mentioned that the story trailer would make it obvious who the big bad was, but unless it's Shinnok and we're just expecting something bigger than it is, it wasn't obvious.

I, for one, hope that they won't reveal who the actual boss is. If there's a sub-boss who's not related to the big one (as Havik and Reiko, let's say), I just hope they will say who that is and leave it at that for the sake of a surprise.

indeed... though IIRC they said "sutherland is not in the game"...and he spoke of the game before the game was even announced IIRC as well.

maybe he's not in the game, but maybe his voice is?

No they didn't? They said that there will be subtle hints pointing to who the big bad was. They never said it would be obvious.

Shaun Himmerick said the final boss was obvious TO HIM from the rough cut of the trailer.

He already knows who the final boss is so he has a contextual advantage over all of us.

That's the thing, though.
He said that it was obvious to him from the rough cut, but that looked like the final cut of the trailer, which doesn't seem as obvious.
The things that seemed like final boss material in that story trailer were possibly Shinnok, the red dust cloud, whatever else the talisman (Shinnok's amulet) may contain that Raiden is afraid of..........
I mean, the possibilities for final boss characters don't seem to be confined to 1 character or thing, based off of that story trailer, IMO.

The one thing that felt odd in the trailer was how vague the red mist bit was. I bet it was drawn out more in the rough cut, but removed due to a last minute decision to keep it a mystery for a little while longer. What we did see in the trailer seemed as though it was being set up for a little bit of explaining and then kinda just... stopped.

There's a HUGE possibility that the MKast wont be tomorrow on Twitch because Im a streamer and Twitch went down for everyone more then 9 times today, they're doing DDOs attacks all day, its absolutely retarded.

Thanks for the correction, in all honesty I didn't remember the exact words or whatever. So, it was obvious to him and maybe the rough cut was different from the final version. Got it.

As for the red mist, well, maybe that was the clue to who the big bad is. Maybe it wasn't just a big red cloud, maybe there's an actual character inside of it, sort of "flying" with the cloud (am I making sense?). If that's the case, maybe it was clearer in the rough cut.

Good point, there's definitely some life form escaping amidst the cloud, you can see it very quickly when you pause it.

Hm. I'm expecting Takeda, Jacqui and Kung Jin gameplay with possibly Jax revealed. Expecting more is silly. I think they'll keep Goro for the stream after this one - which will likely be last.
