If there's only 24 at launch, and Kenshi, Erron Black and Mileena are in as well, then that leaves 2 slots, which are most likely Liu Kang and Shinnok.
But there's a possibility of more than 24 characters at launch.

Underwhelmed by the supposed leaked roster. Hopefully there is a few more characters we're missing (aka Rain, Fujin and Reiko) but I'm not going to let it affect my overall feelings for the game too much. I'm excited to see the variations and how all these characters play and I'm extremely happy Rain is in the game in some form.

Sonya and Jhonny should be just Cut scene characters. is really dumb put Cassie Cage, and then put 2 characters Cassies is based on.
Cassie have this hollywood moveset, and the special forces too. you have 2 birds in one shot.
If Jhonny and Sonya are playable. is really a waste of spot. really.

I'm sure they'll surprise us with a bunch of cameos just like Rain's...I hope so...
Regardless, the roster could've used a lot of improvement and a lot of non-MK3-era characters.

God this game made me hate Special Forces, never liked them or cared for them, never was annoyed by them either (because in previous games there were only a few in each game of them) but MKX made me HATE them with PASSION.
i dont think liu kang is dlc since boot 3 look like a shaloin monk shoe that only liu kang wear and i doudt he a dlc at this point since the play seclent had 25 slots on the stream it showed

He could br on the main roster, but I find it extremely odd that Ed Boon NRS have been very tight-lipped regarding Liu Kang.
