Leak? Johnny and Sonya in-game models from story cutscene

Right on, my bad but I think my point remains intact.

It's not about who had the most right. It's about accepting change or not. And those who complained are those who did not like the change. And there will always be people who complain about any sort of change, because they prefer to have it the same old they have grown used to, and they want the same to appear in every game, over and over again.

It could be something new, but seriously, Cyber Sub-Zero was absurdely abominated IMO.

Of all changes that could happen, NEVER turn characters into cyber, except the ones that were originally like that.

Everybody died, many things changed, but nothing was so painful as Cyber Sub-Zero IMO.

I loved Cyber Smoke, but if they decided to turn him into human, ok, but put thattransformation into Sub-Zero...*sigh I'm so glad he is back.

It's not really absurd. Had the Lin Kuei caught Subbie back in the day, he would've turned into a cyber ninja like the rest. This time, they did. And I liked it. ^^

Why would Quan Chi do that, though?
Why wouldn't he also consider the option of keeping them all the same and under his control (as per MK9), or just making new NetherRealm creations from those dead warriors like he did with Bi-Han and Hanzo?

Why does Quan Chi do anything? Maybe he just likes Sub-Zero Classic and New Jax?

mhmm, mhmm, i see your poinNEW SUB-ZERO!!!

A new Sub-Zero who has a brother that succumbed to Quan Chi, was dead at one point, and worked for Quan Chi himself?

Uh-huh.

That was a Kamidagger into my heart

I remember that I watched first on youtube, because I bought the game later.

I was like

Had to buy and play to believe!

Yup, nope and nope.

Yes he has a brother in the netherrealm, Never was dead, but everyone thinks he was because e goes by the name "sub-zero". never worked for Quanchi, once again everyone thinks he did, just like everyone except Smoke thought tundra was Sub-zero in MK9. This IS the New Sub-zero, Raiden has the same Voice actor, Quanchi has the same voice actor.....so why would sub-zero have a completely new voice actor if it wasn't a new Sub-zero.......? because its a new sub-0 thats why!

Because MK4 thru MK9 history has shown that Quan Chi tends to resurrect people as "not-quite-themselves" and brainwashed to serve him, and MK9 has shown that those who he keeps dead stay in their original form.
Look at Sindel and Kitana in the MKX story trailer, where Cassie is fighting off Sindel.
They're still the same way that they were in MK9, and Quan Chi hasn't resurrected them at that point.
Kitana probably escaped somehow during the NetherRealm war, thus she wasn't resurrected into a new creation by Quan Chi, and was able to return as herself, with normal pupils in MKX.
The ONLY explanation I foresee for Kuai coming back human is that he somehow escaped along with Kitana and Kung Lao, and later got the MK GOLD Cyrax treatment.
Otherwise, it's more likely that 1 of 2 things happen: (1) he will stay in the same form in which he died (cyber) and under Quan Chi's control or (2) Quan Chi will give him a new body as a new resurrected NetherRealm creation with new powers, and he will later somehow get cleansed.

The easier explanation for me than scenario #2 is that Bi-Han survived the Soulnado, and his divided soul (Bi-Han and wraith) gets separated, cleansing him in the process and still leaving the possibility of a purely evil Saibot who ends up ruling the NetherRealm after Quan Chi and Shinnok are stopped.

Have you guys considered that certain characters may be playable in story mode but not in the MP game modes? I'm not saying this is necessarily the case, but it is not outside the realm of possibility that some of the older characters will be crucial to the storyline but not on the roster; I'm thinking Jax and JC here in particular, as we know they both have children who are new playable characters.

Whilst I can see the parents and children being playable if they all have unique personas, move sets and playstyles, I agree with some of the comments about it being strange having a number of characters with relatives all playable, as it does take up a fair number of roster slots.

I'm looking forward to trying the new characters and I think it's important that the MK storyline moves on and introduces new characters rather than simply re-hashing the original trilogy every four or five years, but at the same time the old fanboy in me will be very disappointed if Shinnok and Rain aren't playable =/

Prepare to be disappointed then lol

Yeah, I'll be honest. It doesn't make sense to pour in so much hard work to make a character playable just so you can only play as them for like 5 matches or so.
Especially if the concerned character is somebody's favourite. That will most definitely make the forums explode with complaints.

Alright, look y'all. Let's get on board with this right now.

We've got basically MK1-2 cast minus Baraka and Shang Tsung. Then we've got like.. 8 brand new characters and a small tiny itty bitty little piece of post-mk3 characters. That's the roster. We know it now.

This game is pretty much MK2 with a big bunch of new characters added in. Not a terrible thing to be, mind you.

I do wish there were more 3D era characters personally, but I do know that NRS is gonna do an amazing job with the roster anyway. Even though story-wise Jax and Sonya get a lot of flack for not really "evolving" I'd say that they're still pretty fun to play as, and IMO that seems like reasonable compensation.
