Haha. He's as fundamental to the story as Sub, Scorpion and Kitana, so he'll be there, but the suspense of not having him absolutely confirmed makes his reveal that much better. :biggrin:

On the other hand I thought it was a seriously cool plot twist... Until they brought him back, that is. But I can certainly see why Lia Kang fans would be pissed the killed him in the first place... In an intro cinematic.

The characters Ermac and Rain first appeared in the classic Mk's before MK 4 such as MK Trilogy, MK 3 and Ultimate MK. And Shinnok and Quan Chi appeared before MK4 in Mortal Kombat Mythologies. Havik and Drahmin will not return as ed boon said that the new characters from MK Deception and Deadly Alliance don't have a chance of returning.

Most of the new guys were event activated anyway. And some did nothing for the series, others were never developed for one excuse or another.

Most of the fluffy waste characters are just plain old avoidable to include. Havik for instance, all you have to do is not mention the choas realm and then your not going to touch his storyline. There was a few still worth savoring and keeping but a lot can be skipped. I think the overall difference between the newer MKs and older was that with the older MKs most of the characters were really important to the storyline or background, whereas most of the newer ones became "fluff" to the storyline. Ashrah was one such character, her storyline was so far inclusive from the storyline she might have well not been included at all. :-/
Also before MK9 began to come to fruit, I remember Boon mentioning more vampires in the future, I wonder if that will ever happen now, I imagine a lot of the focus has changed now since the MK team fell under new owners.

well at least not at this present moment right now i think they should focus on rebooting because they wrecked the story so much that they had to reboot. personally, i think the reboot would be a nice stroll back down memory lane with improved fighting and improved graphics

I don't know what you guys think about this but I personally believe that the new and unpopular characters such as Havik, Drahmin, Darrius, Dairrou, Moloch, Li Mei, Kira, Kobra and even Mokap should not have been added to the game in the first place. They have stupid background stories...They have no special power or specific thing that makes them popular. For example, when someone says Sub-Zero, you will know him for his ice powers. when someone says Scorpion, you would know him for his signature Spear and fire. I even can't believe Mokap has only 200 fans...Wait I can believe so since he is the suckiest character in all of MK history...What is he a toilet plunger? I am just joking, i know that mokap is in the cast of Mortal Kombat and did many character's moves
