Why wouldn't it make sense? You do know this is a REBOOT, different universe/origins/endings.
This is not Mortal Kombat I (2011 edition) or Mortal Kombat 1 HD,... it's MORTAL KOMBAT 9

Yes leading me too believe its the start of the tournement there a images in other Screens of Johnny Cage in a Blue tux as well

Yes it is a new Universe but I doubt there gonna drastically change it right at the begining of the tournement from what Ive read, Kinda wish I didnt

Johnny in tux is acceptable, but seeing "Noob and Smoke" in their original attire isn't?

Your totally missing the point. I would love to see them in there retro attires but this is storyline cutscene and it makes no sense for them to be there. Im not trying be mean to you I respect your post but I dont think you respect mine because I honestly dont think your reading them through

I have read them, internet sucks for these debates but I'm not trying to sound/be a d^ck.
All I want to know is why do you keep saying it makes no sense. Why can't they be there?

Im just saying because then that means Bi Han would have died before the tournament and that makes no sense spectre scorpion never met him again until the tournement in the cannon storyline of what we from the past games. I dont think Raiden gets his future message till the begining of the tournement judging by the video that means nothing has changed yet

That's why I kept telling you, your previous knowledge of the original series needs to be thrown out the window. Same characters but this is a different take on the original story. Scorpion could have killed Bi Han before this tournament.

Again nothing has changed yet if Raiden hadnt recieved the message till the begining of the Tournement. Those Bios explain more then you think

Even if they are just generic ninjas there is no reason to argue that IF they do have klassic alts for Noob and Smoke that these are not them.

Not saying you're wrong, you have a point.
But I read my share of comics - with time travel, something is ALWAYS different.

DBZ reference - Trunks goes back in time to give Goku medicine to beat the androids, but instead the Z-fighters meet Android 19/20 first instead - that didn't happen in Trunks timeline.

If you look closely, there's a tube sticking out of the gas canister and going to the guy's armband, so, it's certainly just one guy. I was going to say it was Kabal, before he had to use all that equipment, but now that I see his gas canister, I don't know what to think. That guy is clearly using the equipment, but clearly not wearing a mask. Maybe I'm reading too much on it.

About the ninjas, maybe this video was put together long time ago and the classic Smoke and Noob were used as placeholders. I 'm not sure, I don't want a headache for reading too much on this.
