Well I couldn't find the topic for it... I was just thinking how different MK:Arm's Kintaro looks. He has gone from the Shokan 2-toes to cat feet and all. He looks more fierce I must say. But he doesn't look much like a Shokan anymore... Minus the four arms.
 
Yeah, I'm not really digging his new look at this point. He used to look so badass, and now he looks like... well, Garfield on steroids pretty much sums it up.
 
meh, maybe in the gameplay we'll change our minds. but yeah, he does look like a garfield on steroids. and whats the deel with the mohawk like thing on his head? if they change our beloved kintaro forever, I'll be pissed. :evil: >:(
 
Mohawk? It's a ponytail. Like all the Shokan have. And the only thing that has changed about his fingers is that they have claws. His feet do look more cat-ish, but that doesn't bother me. I have this...thing...about feet. And his old ones creeped me out more than most.
 
the feet are after you glamador!! oh, I couldn't really tell if it was a ponytail or mohawk. I mean it was on top of his head. you see where I gotm the idea.
 
really? ive never noticed that kintaro had a ponytail. i knew goro and sheeva have had one, but never kintaro. anyways, i may have to take a second look. He just got to kitty-ish when Shaolin Monks came around.

Shao Kahn: "Kintaro, you disappoint me! for that, you shall receive no more Kibbles and Bits!"

There are different species of Shokan.

So far there have been Half-Dragon: Sheeva, and Goro

and Half Lion: Kintaro.

He isn't any different and Garfield doesn't look anything like that on steroids or not. Some people complain TOO much.
 
In chinese culture, their are dragons that have feline features, so YES: Kintaro is still half-dragon. Like all Shokan.

I like his new look because it help destinguish him form Goro more. Quit hatein'.

Wrong. They are all the same species... Though they do have tribes. With Goro as their prince or something like that ruling over the tribes.

Reminds me of those 'Kintaro the hybred' discussions on the web I read when I first joined TRMK.
 
Angel I said they were all Shokan but there are different species of them. (Or just say counter parts ever play Sonic Adventure 2 Chow garden adn stuff?)

Look at old Kintaro compare him to 3D one. They look the exact same with the exception of his toes.


CW is right. There are dragons that have whiskers like that usually called Sky Dragons. Thus I'm guessing he is part Sky Dragon-human as in Shokan. Someone else on IGN forums got this easily.
 
I agree with ScorpZero.

He looks way better, back in the day shooting a projectile he looked like he was going to eat me like a cat would. (Or meow)
 
If they give him some good styles I think he may very well be one of my favorites to play as in MK:A. Him and Shinnok.
 
lol, seeing him perched on the side of a huge plastic tray trying to get that vacant facial expression going would be hilarious. Maybe reading a newspaper or something.
I wonder if he does it in Kahn's shoes...

Another thing about the different sub-species of Shokan, Kintaro was supposed to be Goro's brother wasn't he? so surely he should be the same species. unless their mom like a bit...

Expect in MK8 to have a half shokan, half milkman
 
I don't remember seeing anywhere that Kintaro was Goro's brother...I remember reading somewhere that he was in competition with Goro and he got his chance to shine when he dissapeared after MK1. He's part tiger I believe actually, as well as the normal Shokan Dragon/Human combo. But I think the Dragon/Human thing was only for the first generation of Shokans, I'm pretty sure they reproduce with their own kind at this point (how many dragons have you screwed lately?).
 
It seems like I remember hearing that Goro and Kintaro were cousins. I don't think they're brothers, but I've got no proof either way.
