Anyways, They probably will do what the Turninator said and unite it's really the only option left without screwing up the entire story I guess. But if they restore Liu Kang I wonder if he'll be able to forgive them or if he'll come out of no where and beat them up near the end.
 
Granted, those that died are now Netherrealm status. Free army for Quan Chi & Shinnok. Stay free Earthrealm.

I debated that Cyber-Sub might still return, but just as a soulless robot instead. Then there's Scarlet/Lady in Red, which, until anyone knows her story, I would assume she's MIA as well considering she's only seen in a few instances (few scenes in the early chapters) and in Kahn's Arena.

Agreed.

Again, guys, they have 12 characters to go before they even match the latest SF or Tekken in terms of playable characters. There's plenty of breathing room to add a lot of new people without trimming the old cast.

I don't like the souless klassic Mk characters, like what they did with Smoke in the past. Its fine for Cyax and Sektor because they came into MK in Mk3 as cyborgs so its not taking away anything. I think Sub should stay cyborg (hypocritical yes since I was pissed that Smoke was before). I preferred playing as robo Sub as apposed to ninja Sub in this game. I liked that he got is humanity back, even though he was in the suit. Maybe in MK 10 he can get his human body back at the end.

I hope they add quite a few new kharacters in the next game that people actually like. I hope they keep all the people from MK9 too, but I always like having new people to use. Hopefully they actually do something cool with bringing them back and not just have them there like this story never happened.

The way I see it MKII was HIS tournament right so it was his rules so I don't think he broke them if they were his. Correct me if I'm wrong. I agree with Like 40 Ninjaz. Hope to see new characters along with Skarlett, Kenshi, Reiko and Frost. One more thing are Sheeva, Goro and Kintaro dead? Don't remember seeing a scene confirming it.

Fighting games don't need to be an arms race to see who has the most playable characters. Sometimes less is more. Don't forget MK 1 only had seven playable characters, and that was going up against Super Street Fighter II Hyper Super Duper Turbo Champion Fluffy Bunnies Edition.

I know people roll their eyes sometimes when you talk about the storyline in MK games, but you do get to a point where there's not much else you can do with the original cast before it starts becoming like a soap opera parody with people dying and being brought back. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if new characters stepped up in the next game. The original cast doesn't need to be gone for good, but maybe some of the well known faces might have more of a background role.

Lui Kang did die , because he was burnt to death by his own fire and Raiden's lightning . Lui shot it at Raiden and Raiden sent it back to Lui . And yea Sindel owned everyone , especially Jade lol . She knocked her out and then ripped her stomach out . And how does nightwolf die ?
 
What's probably going to happen is that there's a bunch of different (new or old) characters in MK10 who kill/subdue Shinnok and Quan Chi and save Earthrealm again. Then once they're dead all the people who died in 9 will be resurrected. I'm only assuming, but I think that's the smartest way to go about it. Introduce new characters and bring back the roster from 9, or at least a select few.

Maybe that's what NRS is going to change.
I am not going to lie, them actually going through with killing characters will be kinda badass and a change.
 
Just because they kill characters in the story doesn't mean they have to cut then from the roster. And personally I think it would be amazing if they did do that. No matter what they do, I'm excited to see it.

The only characters who are "dead" are the ones in the Netherrealm working for Quan Chi. Those are like 9 or 10 characters plus Motaro...

Always remember that "nobody ever really dies in Mortal Kombat."
 
Sindel was imbued with Shang Tsung's soul, right? So now that Sindel was killed and resurrected by Quan Chi to serve Shiinok, then doesn't mean that Shang Tsung is also under Quan Chi's control?
