Keeping ALL your UNLOCKED characters and UNLOCKED fatalities (ONLINE)

For all of those who have run out of your "FREE TRIAL KOMBAT PASS", and would like more time untill the network is fully restored....

I know this has been mentioned in previous threads, HOWEVER, some NEW information that has NOT been said is that when you do create a new PSN account to reactivate another 48 hours "FREE TRIAL", you will not have ANY saved data (meaning you will NOT have any of your unlocked characters or fatalities!)... BUT IF YOU DO WANT ALL OF THAT IN YOUR "NEW" ACCOUNT, then do the following:

Just copy your "saved" data from your original account to your new account! You wont be able to gain anymore trophies (because you are running your profile off of a shared account) BUT you will STILL have access to all your unlocked fatalities and characters!

I hope this HELPS you all (who are suffering because they have a LIGIT copy of MK9 and are unable to redeem their "KOMBAT PASS" because the PSN is still not fully 100% back up and running, and would like to add an extra 48 hours of "FREE ONLINE KOMBAT" while still maintaining their unlocked fatalities and characters ONLINE!!!)

Cheers

:D

I think this shouldn't even be an issue. We should all get a free trial until the store is back. That seems only fair. But maybe that would require an update that we can't download... until the store is back!

It makes me dizzy to think about.

Agreed. This online pass thing combined with PSN really ****ing blows.

And after all that we still have one of the laggiest online services in a fighting game to contend with.

Is online really worth the trouble ? Honestly , right now Mortal Kombat's online component is barely usable (IMO) right now . I have played a few fights and yeah , I suck out loud. But the lagginess really brings down the whole experience in general. I don't mind getting whooped as long as it was cool. I would suggest not worrying about it right now after you have tried the trial . If you ran out of things to do on MK. Move on to a new game in the mean time till they patch the online portion .

If online is that important to you and you need to play online , God speed but I just do not see the point right now due to terrible lag .

PS : I firmly believe NRS will patch this when DLC is released and I believe DLC will be out very soon

To be fair... Sony NEVER said PS Store was coming back up..

May 31st they said full service is expected to return. Online doesn't matter to me much also, after trying it for the 2 days even when PS Store is up I won't bother redeeming my code until the MK9 patch hits....The game plays something worse than a 1998 Quake title on 56k modems, which actually played really well. I don't think I've ever actually played a game with a worse online experience than MK9.

Shigenori Yoshida of Sony told Bloomberg that the PSN must be back online in full by May 31!

Key word: MUST BE

Er... after you activate the trial on the new psn you can then go back to your main psn. I got a few friends who's done this~

Thanks for the copying the game save trick, MK9. Shoulda tought about that one.

Ed Boon said they would take care of us trial users before PSN fully comes back online. Let's hope it's not 2 days before PSN's up.

Zephna, I'll give this trick a go. I'm pretty sure I did that already without success, but, hey maybe they changed something that allows it.
