Ok, lemme preface this by saying I LOVE MK9 (it's brilliant, imho) and I am in no way complaining about this because it makes my Kabal uneffective. I am VERY good with Kabal (and other characters as well) as is and don't think this needs to change. However, Kabal received BY FAR the worst amount of damage scaling in the ENTIRE game after you use his dash.
I know this was great for balancing issues and to nerf Kabal from his MK3 Godlike tier status from spamming but my only problem is this. Scorpion and Sub-Zero (two characters I am also VERY good with and love to play) both have great moves that stun the opponent allowing for free opportunities for massive combos and their damage scaling isn't even remotely severe. On top of that, they already did a great job of nerfing Kabal's dash move by giving it these properties.
1) You can't do more than 1 dash in a combo. The second you try will only count as a hit and will not allow follow-ups (same goes for Scorp's harpoon and Sub's freezes).
2) It's absolutely THE most punishable move in the game. If you block Kabal's dash in THIS game. He is literally stunned for almost 2 or 3 full seconds. If you can't punish him heavily after that: PUT. DOWN. THE. CONTROLLER...haha
There are other ways too but I'm not giving up all one of the favs weakness lol (btw, I am good with like 10 characters in this game).
This nerf is just perculiar because they took all the cautionary steps before this neft to make Kabal impossible to spam. I'm ALL for damage scaling. And it's a MUST have in ANY serious fighting game. But if they were gonna nerf his damage scaling by nearly 50% then they should have done the same for Scorp and Sub. Just my opinion.
