Kabal cosplay ideas....

Kabal reference pictures

I'll be cosplaying as Kabal this year, I have ~2 months to get everything ready. I'm not strictly following any certain design for him. Kind of a combination of versions to make it my own. I have the trenchcoat, a decent shirt (good enough but looking for a better one), boots, breathing hose. I never cosplayed before but I've been working at haunted houses for 9 years now so I have experience with things like that...

I think I'd mostly be following the MK Deception look. Possibly with burned skin. I have experience with the burned skin look, but unsure if I want to do that or not. I think for the forearms I might go with the MK9 style with the spiked gauntlets. I haven't been able to find anywhere to buy a replica mask, and I've never made anything like that before. I could piece together things. I could get a respirator and goggles off of eBay, and modify them to my liking. Such as painting them, maybe adding purple LEDs? I'd like you guys to give some suggestions on things that would work. I also know where to get hookswords, but I can't bring metal ones anywhere so I'd need to make some myself.

I need to do some more complicated cosplay one day.

I'm planning to go to the Resident Evil 6 midnight release as Albert Wesker.

I've been to the Dead Rising 2 midnight release as Frank West.

I've even done Android 17 from DBZ, lol.

Yeah, it is pretty cheap. I think I'll pick it up even if I won't use it as Kabal because I'll always have it for Halloween type stuff....

You could always get that $1,300 special edition for RE6 and cosplay as Leon. haha
 
I'd have to make some, because conventions don't allow big sharp things. haha. What to make them out of though? I'm thinking maybe I might wire in some purple LEDs into the goggles, or something like that. I think it would be interesting.

On a side note.... I'm going to be getting some type of firearm soon-ish. I'm thinking maybe an M9 Baretta, outfitted with the STARS grips and maybe something etched into the metal. Another option is maybe a 1911 because they have all sorts of custom grips, I saw some BADASS Umbrella Corp ones.
 
Could probably make them out of posterboard.
Stack like 2 or 3 on top of each other, draw out an outline and get an exacto knife.
Probably use black electric tape around the handles to not only hold it together, but to give it the authentic look.
Then maybe use chrome spray paint on the blades. Boom, Kabal swords
 
Oh and don't forget to use electric tape on the goggles. Kabal has that weird, slim, Asian view on his.

Not a bad idea. Might look cheap though. We'll see. haha. But I was thinking maybe carve them from a thick styrofoam, cover in resin or bondo maybe.

That could work, or even the round-eye look could work too. I'd see how both looked.

I'd get a S.T.A.R.S grip since Wolfpack is lame as hell :laugh:

I think Critical_Limit would be a big help since he did that awesome HUNK cosplay.

Are you going to have that tech pack that Kabal had on his back?

Get your arts and crafts on for the tech pack, homeboy. I had no camera for my Frank West cosplay so I made my camera out of cardboard and construction paper, lol. It was a last minute thing so it didn't turn out to well but since you have plenty of time you can make that tech box thing look real nice.

Unrelated to this thread but you once asked me a good tournament to go to?


If you choose one you should go to MLG dallas.




I have almost zero idea for how you can do the mask. Besides making a mold for it.
