I think its good certain words are censored.

Its hard to be constructive with words like bull & shit, or ass & hole.

Makes it harder to flame :)

But it sucks that co & ck is not allowed.
Makes it hard for me to say my favorite insult:

C@ckboy.

I do not understand this concept of catckboy.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN!!!?????

i really miss MK as a 3D fighter. 2D is terrible imo. i know they wanted to go back to thee roots, but i'm just not liking it as much as i liked the 3D ones.

While the 3D games were a nice change up in MKDA-MKA I think MK4 did it wrong, and a 3D plane is good for games like Soul Calibur and Tekken but I feel a 2D plane is better for MK

which is why i enjoy Soul Calibur & Tekken so much. i wish one day MK can be more or less like Soul Calibur, it's a great weapon based fighting game & totally balanced, MK is a great game but they need to step it up gameplay wise.

Uh oh, you are going to wage a war princess :vroam:

what's the worse people can do? -rep me? oh wait...

While MK has some flaws I feel the gameplay in MK9 is the best it has ever been, Soul Calibur and MK are really meant to be different, and that is a good thing they are both great games in their own respects. But I must disagree with MK being better as 3D

to each their own, i respect your opinion. but i feel like MK9 lacks creativity, i know a lot of you will disagree, but that's how i feel.

MK9 is good gameplay wise but I too feel it could have been more, they could have included chess kombat, puzzle kombat, an open world story mode, and the fighting/weapons styles from the 3D games, but overall I think they made up for these things by having a great combo system, an awesome narrative story mode, challenge tower, and test your luck. For me MK9 was great but I can see how some people would have preferred elements from the 3D MK games.

i like moving around the arena, i usually do that in Soul Calibur as a tactic i'll explain later, the combo system is good in MK9, but there are characters who use it terribly. & the Kreate a Fighter was truly a success, i don't know why they didn't bring it back. i never play Test your Luck, i skipped mostly every single mission in challenge tower too, so i find myself playing MK less now.

Kreate a fighter was my favorite thing in Armageddon besides Chameleon's redesign but I think they did not bring it back because of Fatalities whereas in MKA the generic kreate a fatality was used.

those fatalities were stupid imo, hopefully MK10 will satisfy me more than MK9. it just left a bitter taste in my mouth, unfortunately.

MK was terrible on a 3d plane.

Too easy to doge specials.
Specials are MK's bread and butter.

well they needed to figure out how to make specials more effective on a 3D plain.

After I began playing the old MKs and MK9, the 3D games became not so fun. I love Tekken, and now Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive as well, but 2D works better for MK IMO.

Kreate-a-fighter in MKA was very bland, it could have been much better if done right. Even the fatalities wouldn't need to be the Kreate-a-fatality. Just take SC's create-a-fighter, for instance, it's much more complete, I think.

Much easier said than done.

Most of the projectiles in Tekken & SC are unblockable.

Either way, MK will always be at home on 2d.
Much faster.
I HATED in 3d MK's (Except 4 & DC) that when you were far away from your opponent, it took forever to get close to them.

So guys getting a little off topic here but who would be behind a MK RPG? An open world third person game where you create a character from the variety of races and backgrounds (Lin Keui Cyber, Zatteran, Tarkatan) and journey throughout the realms completing missions collecting armor/outfits and weapons, and depending on what background you pick it changes the story line. We got a taste of how awesome it could be in Deception. Any fans of Fallout or TES and MK would pick up this, I know I would.

Soul Calibur has the best fighter creation in any fighting game. i was playing MKA today & i liked the gameplay in it better.

And I heard SC3's create-a-fighter is even better than SC4's one, is that right? I only played SC4.

Anyway, I don't think a create-a-fighter works very well in MK, not with all the different special moves and fatalities, specially now that gameplay is really important in MK, create-a-fighter with choice of special moves could make it unbalanced, while doing it like in SC, just selecting a existing character's fighting style, would not be interesting in MK. It would work in something like SC or Tekken, but not in MK, I think.
