is raiden doing it for you raiden fans?

did we watch the same video?!?!?!? Raiden looks fast, furious, and awesome, and he seems to have TONS of combo potential, I think he'll be one of the best in the game easily
 
Raiden looks pretty cool to me; he doesn't have to be the fastest character, but I'm sure his combos will make up for it. I like his X-ray move though; don't forget, like previously stated here, that there is a chance that the combo video they showed us is old. Remember Mileena's combo video that ended in her old X-ray move? Now look at it. :)
 
I think Raiden looks pretty crappy and he is one of my fav guys to use in mortal kombat trilogy. His gameplay didn't interest me at all compared to when I would watch other kharacters. I'll probably play with him a little bit, but I won't try to master him, I hated him in MK vs DC aswell.
 
He looks great in this game. He will have hard to make combos. Which fits him well because he is a master.
 
I like that one move when he hits baraka in the stomach then knocks him back. I wana see Kratos fight raiden haha he's probably going to be like " oh yeaa a new god to kill " and might win but Shao khan owns Kratos right after
 
i don't think i could be anymore impressed. he has the electricity flowing through him, his outfit is awesome, he seems quick, i like the combos i saw and he freaking shatters spines in his x-ray for crying out loud. 5% my booty hole. my only gripe is i like the concept of his x-ray's ending i just think the lightning ball was executed poorly.
 
Hmm. I must have been watching a different video than some of you because I thought it was absolutely fantastic.

What did you expect from Raiden? Seriously? They wouldn't even dare change his moveset from MK2. He's too beloved from that game.
His teleport looks like one of the quickest in the game. He looks like he has alot of setups. And he looks strong. Raiden was always about keeping people on their feet because he is one of the most mobile characters in the game. He could be behind you in a flash if you do ANYTHING relatively slow. I seriously think that he's going to be a great contender. I'd be surprised if some of you Raiden fans won't pick him up this time around just because his lightning balls look different and the Xray isn't orgasm worthy. It's like you guys forgot why you liked Raiden to begin with. And that was that he played amazingly while fighting as him.

The enhanced lightning ball was showed in the video, it's when he sends two balls, one towards the enemy and one reverse, which goes to back of the screen and he appears behind the enemy. And that video is probably months old, see how his X-Ray seems unfinished, Shang Tsung fell to the ground and instantly reappeared standing for the X-Ray to begin.
 
that combo at the end was amazing, and i agree that he looks fast and can pull off alot of combos. as for the x-ray, i like the elbow and the chop to the head but as someone else has said on here, "whats with that fairy ball at the end?"
 
I think some of you need to get your eyes checked and stop b****ing about every little detail and be grateful for what they give us already because at the end of the day all of us here weather yall like it or not are going to purchase the game regardless of how slow or boring a character might be
 

Wish he looked like this. His animation during combos do look a bit stiffer than the characters we've already seen. And seeing him do all those karate chop style combos doesn't seem to fit his style, but whatever.

I'm actually glade this video came out because I was not digging his look at all. He defiantly did not get a upgrade like the other character's in his appearance but his move set looks fantastic which is the most important aspect of the game. He looks like he will throw a lot of teleports in his combos which is bad ass. His teleport move is just as important as his lighting and it is fundamental move in all the other Mk so I am glad to see it return. So far I am diggin Raiden just not his look. Hopefully he has a cool secondary outfit.
 
So far I like it however since it was HIS trailer, i'm assuming that the combos were done on a static character but again from what has been seen so far - Raiden looks really awesome
 
the lightning looked better in MK2 imo, and when it connected it spreaded over the opponent, in the new one theres just a few sparks,??? hmmm, although the way the lightning move and xray does not alter raidens gameplay the gameplay video still leaves me with a kinda empty feeling in comparasment to other videos that got me amped and interested in using the character.

im sorry my post was on the negative side, im sure he will still be an awesome contender like circus said, its just weird that in the video he looks strong and doing all his classic moves and everything but for some reason that i cant quite put my finger on it just dosent get me as exited as the other videos have, but maybe theyre still tweaking

a major point in this whole website is to offer critasism and opinions to make the game better, using mileenas x-ray as an example, we complained, they listen, they changed it for the better,

if we just sat back and said nothing there would be no improvements throughout the games development
