Injustice 2 Media and Discussion Thread!

I wasn't following this game because of it not being my cup of tea and irl stuff. But man, what's up with the damage? Some of the videos I've seen had characters pulling almost 100% combos with 1-2 meter burns. Also Bane lost all his muscle, did his cycle end?

The gear in the beta isn't balanced yet, so some gear makes you able to do some really heavy damage.

As for Bane, he isn't a huge hunk of muscle ALL the time. He's still big, but only when he activates his venom he'll be Hulk size.
 
Right I see. I thought gears only provided slight changes in damage or whatever.
Bane needs to be Hulk size at all times.

I mean that Bane is a normal man, more or less. There's nothing supernatural about him without the Venom. So yeah, he can be a big, buff dude to a certain extend... and he is! And as soon he activates the Venom, he becomes HUGE.

But obviously, as seen on the render, that is before he has his Venom activated.
 
I thought you meant the gear system. As for Bane I'm just taking the piss. It's a video game model, who cares...

But I'm sure he will have alot of different gear to fit whatever style people like. I quite like the one in the render, I've never been a fan of the luchador mask. He looks more like a gimp in a stealth suit this time. XD
 
Salty post warning!!! Waiting to get a code for the beta is so annoying. This stupid randomly generated beta code email is nothing but garbage. I mean IMO if you signed up before the register sign up was taken down than you should get a code to access the beta (Yes i get they want to keep it under control for testing purposes ). I miss the good ole days of demo's. At least we got something we could play without waiting for a random bot to give us a fn code. I'm sure people will say I'm just a whinny ass but I Don't care. Did the sf5 beta have this problem?

I agree with this. Hell, I'd rather have a demo myself since I suck online, and most people I fought and did win against in MKX always whined. That being said, still waiting on a beta code myself. Lol
 
I don't care about this Beta anymore. I signed up day one within hours and I still haven't got a code just like the most of you. Then Ed Boon promised codes last weekend then gave away a few XBox codes with ANOTHER promise about a LOT MORE codes the next day. I was sitting there waiting for a code or at least an opportunity for get one. I didn't get one while a random kid who registered his Twitter that day and begged for a code got one instantly with his first tweet. And there weren't a lot more codes, in fact he gave away less than before.

What every one of us should see is that the Beta is not about fans or fan service. It's not a demo for everyone to be able to try the game. It's about free QA and marketing. They claimed that it's a closed Beta so not everyone should get a code because it is for test the online environment. That's okay, I can accept it. But it's not a coincidence that every Top Player/Well-Known NRS streamer got one. They constantly stream and tweet about the game, generate hype and help advertise the game. It's free marketing at its best. But that's okay, I can accept that too.

What I don't like though is the bull$**t about all of us are equals and if you signed up you have the same chance to get a code as the Big Names. That's complete BS and just as annoying as seeing random guys on Twitter getting codes while people who signed up for the Beta Day 1 getting nothing. What was the point of the sign up then? How closed is this Beta then? Or closed for who? It's an Injustice just like the title says.

I don't want to be a part of this anymore. Sitting next to a screen or keep refreshing my Twitter or mail account like a maniac feels embarassing. May isn't that far away. You won't miss anything if you can't get access to the beta.
 
I wasn't annoyed with the beta until Ed started doing Trivia to hand out codes. You've still got people who signed up day one to play your game. I think they should have a little higher priority ffs


Also that Deadshot gameplay was ridiculous. I'm definitely going to have to try him out. He doesn't seem as versatile as Deathstroke yet. I'm seeing 100% zoning and no combos. I need to know that I can hold it down when someone actually gets past the bullets

Other fighting games don't have this problem with their beta's I don't remember people getting pissed about not having access to the sf5 beta or Capcom giving out random codes on twitter while ignoring the people who already signed up for it. Pissing off your fan base by only letting the top dogs play the beta is not going to make people want to buy your game. Unless NRS rebalance the game at release so the playing field is equal. No One wants to jump online just to be mopped by 1000 supergirl players who got the beta before anyone else were allowed to touch the game. I'm fine with waiting until May but giving certain people a two month head start while others are force to watch from the side lines is BS. I'll probably avoid online at release for a while until I'm cought up to all the tech. NRS and WB's dropped the ball on this beta IMO free marketing or not.

I just don't see why they didn't do a demo for it like they did with MK9 and the first Injustice.
Why not make it a demo and let everyone try it out?
The same goes with MKX.
Everyone should know by now anyways that the demo =/= the final product.
Beta seems to be the current-gen version of demos, except that it's by invitation only and not everyone is invited.
 
I finally got a beta code last night, Black Canary and Blue Beetle are hands down my favorites so far. I still wish there was at least a practice mode since you just go into a match head on with no knowledge of how to use these characters.
 
From carefully observing the gameplay from others on the Twitch stream, I now see that Black Canary's playstyle reminds me of Green Lantern from the 1st game minus the zoning tools, most of her devastating combos require so much meter in order to maximize the damage against her opponents.

For Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), definitely best at distance. Although for flashy combos, use the blades and meter for juggles.
