Actually here's a good idea:

- Add a 'Story Pack' DLC pack that includes:
- Rain, Sareena and Frost as DLC characters
- Story Mode chapters for the Story Pack characters and the Kombat Pack characters (that includes Jason and Predator)
 
Let's all say I just joined NRS and they allowed me to add content for MKX and allowed me to work on future games. Here is what would happen...

1. MKX

Kombat Pack 2 for MKX:
-Bo Rai Cho
- Tri-Borg
- Xenomorph
- Leatherface
* Sindel (Added)
* Rain (Added)

Kombat Pack 3 for MKX:
- Sareena
- Li Mei
- Fujin
- Havik
- Daegon
- Nitara



Kombat Pack 4 for MKX:
- Frost
- Kira
- Taven
- Hotaru
- Catwoman (DC)
- The Joker (DC)

* Before MK11's release, there would be a challenge tower called the "MK11 Tower" and it would involve all characters who survived story mode (or who have not been confirmed dead in story mode) who are also playable in the roster of MKX. Dark Empress Kitana and Dark Emperor Liu Kang would be the sub-bosses of the tower. Dark Raiden would be the last boss. Secret fights would include Kitana (Mournful) in the Tournament Outfit, MK2 Outfit, or Revenant Outfit (the outfits would vary) before fighting Dark Raiden, which hints Jade's return for MK11 and Cold Steel Sub-Zero or MK3 Sub-Zero (using any of the 3 main variations) before Dark Empress Kitana which would hint Noob Saibot's return for MK11.


2. Injustice 2

Characters in main roster should include CATWOMAN and Black Canary. I can care less about the rest.

DLC:
- Scorpion (By Boon's suggestion.)
- Kitana (My suggestion.)
* Who ever else NRS wants.

3. MK11

Characters who must return are Kitana, Tanya, Li Mei, Sareena, and all the survivors of the MKX story.

Sonya dies so Cassie mostly has her famous moves such as the leg grab and ring toss in one of the variations.

Johnny Cage, Jax, and Kenshi are NPCs that can be DLC later on in games.

Noob Saibot returns as Unlockable or DLC. (It would be more fun if Noob and Jade are unlockable or DLC since Kitana and Sub-Zero are already in the main roster.

* Jade would either be an unlockable or DLC that has easy fighting mechanics to learn! Plus her fatalities would be similar to the Vlad the Impaler executions. ;)

If I was Netherrealm I would add these fixes and other things that needs to be in the game.
1. I would fix all of the inputs to where they won't be so hard to use.
2. Add a 3rd fatality to all characters and a classic fatality for all of the classic characters.
3. I would make Rain, Baraka, Sindel and Fujin playable.
4. Make all of the secret hidden brutalities unlockable in the Krypt and put on the moves list.
5. Make all costumes unlockable in the Krypt including the mobile skins.
6. Give all characters alternate costumes and skins including DLC.
7. I would add more stages and stage fatalities to the game.
8. They would be 20 Chapters in storymode.
9. Goro would be in the storymode.
10. Every X-ray would be a brutality.
11. I would have made the game have the rollback netcode right when the game came out.
12, I would give every character at least 10 different intros.
13. I would not allow guest characters as DLC only Mortal Kombat Characters.
14. I would have made Kombat Pack 1 Sareena, Bo Rai Cho, Li Mei and Frost. ( I am proud Bo is in the game. )
15. I would have made Kombat Pack 2 Rain, Sindel, Baraka and Fujin.
16. I even would have created a Kombat Pack 3 with Stryker, Human Smoke, Nightwolf and Tanya. ( I am also proud she made it. )
17. For the fans I would have finished with a comic pack with Tasia, Havik, Forrest Fox and Reiko.
18. Tremor would have been the exclusive pre-order bonus character. ( I am a fan of his )

If I was 1 of the head decision-makers at WB / NRS, Fujin would have either been on the main roster or DLC for MKX (as I wouldn't have ignored so many fan requests for him), and secondly if I HAD to put another guest in as DLC I would have put in Ash Williams as the guest DLC instead of Leatherface.

While I usually don't care for guests (in general), Ash Williams would have been a no-brainer (IMO), especially with the Evil Dead TV series on TV.
A part of me can't help but think what Ash Williams with 3 variations would have been like:

Actually, I'd add Kreate A Kharacter Mode with 6-10 slots available for custom characters. That way, anyone can play as who they want instead of Kombat Pack 3. Problem solved!!! All the story mode NOC character skins should be pre made options for creation already. Custom characters will have only 1 variation (so space can be saved).

Categories would be...

1. Fighting Style (Meaning we can choose 1 character with 1 variation as a basic fighting style for our custom character. The special moves will also be preset in the variations already too.)

2. X-Ray Moves

2. Fatalities (We can choose up to 2 existing fatalities for a custom character.)

Then we can name our fighting style/variation.

I would've made the Guy who did the comics work on the Story for the game.
No Guest Characters in KP2.
MKX would've followed the story presented in the comics as well as the cast.
 
The other thing i will change is stages. MKX have a great gameplay, strong roster, ok story, but lack in stages department, in my opinion there is nothing that will be remembered for ages, like MK2 ones.
 
If I had my choice of stages for MKX, I'd choose the MK4 Prison Stage with the fan Fatality and the MK: D Slaughterhouse with the stage Fatality, as well.

MKX started off in what is essentially MK4, skipped Deadly Alliance, and ended on Deception.
So, I personally think that the MK4 Prison and Deception Slaughterhouse would have been fitting stages for MKX, given the timeline that MKX starts off in / skips over to.
 
I'd add the Lumber Mill stage.

Stage Fatality: The opponent is uppercutted to the buzzsaw and is split vertically in half.
