Ive always asked walmart and gamestop if I could have some of the promotional pieces. Every time they said they arent allowed to do it anymore, because people would try to sell them on ebay. So the company has to destroy them. Ive asked about 3 different walmarts if i could have the some of the stuff looking for a different answer, and about 5 different gamestops. Well on the night of the release, I ask one of the guys at walmart if I could have one of the side panels of a gamecase that had mk on it. He then says "youre looking for mk stuff?" and pulls out that HUGE banner made of thick material, and lets me have it for a donation of 5 dollars to a charity...AWESOME. you really have to be here to see how big it is. He also said they were sent an mk tent to demo the game in, but it was rated M so they couldnt do it. but he didnt know where it was.

NICE! I was lucky enough to get two of the gamestop Scorpion posters that now adorn my bedroom walls. In another week I'll have a big one of Scorpion and SubZero compliments of the nice cashier from gamestop as well. He took my number and everything. Said he'll call me in 2 weeks to let me know when he has em. Nice people over there. Yours is beautiful and of considerably higher quality though haha.

Promotional items are not meant for sale, pretty sure the companies use them for a tax write off as a business expense and if they turn up being resold later it could in theory cause problems. I don't think it's ever actually happened but two things most companies fear most are law suits and audits.

Nice that they used the money for charity. Better than throwing away something someone wants.

I walked into a Gamestop the moment someone else was claiming a giant Subby cutout that was standing in the store. My heart fell to the floor. Lucky man, you are. I can't wait to have an awesome piece of MK swag in my room!
