i can't get there....

hey so....i finished the game....(wooohooo) so i go to the living forest and swing up to the tree and climb the ladder and cross all the bridges and get to mileena,i kill mileena and see mileena and kitana go through a portal,i was about to follow them but a little message from raiden said that mileena was defeated for now,continue with your quest,thats the one thing im wondering about....did anybody actually follow mileena and kitana?? the other thing is when im walking on all those bridges i see trees out like 3 feet away from the bridges and there's little platforms just like the ones im on,but for some reason i can't get to them,so did anyone get back there??? and,does the game save after you beat shao kahn or does it just bring you back to before you beat him so you can't actually finish the game and walk around after you beat shao kahn??? please help......(that was a long paragraph) :shock:
 
Mileena and Kitana go through a portal that you can't follow through, I believe. As far as I know, you can't go anywhere else in that hidden area.

If you load your saved game file, you'll start from the last place you saved from before the final battle. You can't walk around Kahn's Arena, unfortunately.
