How much would pay for a DLC character? (for ex: Skarlet)

scarletts been in the making for 20 years
lol so NR feel the pressure that they need to deliver with her and not go down the same route they went with the 3d mk games. i guess even when she does get released some people won't like her and some people will, like all things. mk1, mk2, and mk3 was full of three female ninjas who looked the same, but wore different coloured costumes and had unique moves and there was nothing wrong with that. scarlett will also be unique imo. she hasn't been ripped off or copied from anywhere and she seems to have a unique blood controlling type power so her moveset looks like it will be different from the other females. in the end though it's always a matter of opinion, even if she is considered the greatest character mk has produced some people will still dislike her.

I take no offense, but, I'm supporting Skarlet since the beggining, so, I pay the price NRS think is fair in order to have her in the roster .... I wanna NRS know that Skarlet has fans , and, sure we will see her gameplay only in Monday, but, it's just like Cyber Sub-Zero : some people hate him, but, others, just loved him, and, even before the official game released, knowing nothing about his gameplay, some fans still started to show support for the fact he was confirmed as playable, and now, he is an OK character. Despite, 10$ / 800MS is nothing, is cheap and I could pay the double for Skarlet ......C'mon, they will not ask 10.000$ / 8000MS for her, people, hehe ! So, the prices put in the poll are OK ......

Personally, only Rain is interesting for me , among these options, but I'm not hardcore fan of him ..... But I gonna buy him (when released), and Kenshi , to show my support for the DLC content. Besides, this game is always more fun having more character included on it, this increase the replay value a lot on this game, and open more possibilities for good matches and new strategies.

You missed 2 points:
1 - CSZ was supported because we all knew before the game realese what he was going to be an ice powered cyborg.
2 - He is not an OK character, he is an amazing character.

1- yeah, we knew that, but, he is approved as character anyway, right ? He is even considered now a better ranked tier than before, because people finally see his potential. Skarlet move list has leaked, so, Monday , we will see those moves in action and have a better idea how she plays. Give some time to her (Skarlet) after released, and people will like her. All characters in this game has a target fan base and end having people who like them, none character is totally hated. Ed seems happy and excited about Skarlet, according his Twitter. Very cool about this.
2- When I said OK, I wanted to say "approved" by MK players, as a character that , if people have curitosity, he can be very useful online. I am happy that all that hate in the beggining about CSZ is not justified, because his gameplay speak for its own. He is a dangerous character, some guys destroyed me online using CSZ, I know how good he is.

I guess it really depends on the character. I don't think I'll be buying Skarlet unless the trailer on Monday and some gameplay changes my mind. I think the characters will be $10/800MSP. I know it seems a bit steep but that's how it is nowadays. Estimate a price of something then double it to get the actual price.
I'd pay $10 for a character I REALLY want, such as Cyber-Smoke. But if they made the characters $3-5 I'd be more likely to buy more characters.

Sorry but this was ignorant as all hell...
HOW DO YOU KNOW they are going to be great "kenshi, rain, reiko, fujin" Biased... ATLEAST that person who wants skarlet has seen a "little" bit of her move set from leaked footage.
As far as i know there are some people who aren't happy with subzero's slow and zoney playstyle. and I'd like to think most people always thought subzero is "known to be great" Of course there are people who like subzero the way he is now but there are some people out there that want to be aggressive but are forced to play their favorite character in a different style that doesn't suit them.
What if they release rain and he's GARBAGE bottom tier and has a boring playstyle. You don't know because there is absolutely NO information about anything of the sort.

it should only cost $5 for one character, BUT in this case i would be willing to spend $10. no more than that.

you obviously missed my point. I also believe this is the case(NRS balancing well). But I was addressing Fox17 who was saying "your decision to pay for something that high is stupid, doing it for Rain ect ect is ok"

As someone who really wants Rain and a few others, and hopes they actually play well, I have to support this post. No one knows how any character will be until after they come out, no matter what that character's previous history was. Therefore, any returning character is in the exact same position as Skarlet, as far as how great they are in play goes.
