How do you get out of JC's f3, 3, b3?

I've been playing against this great JC player, he likes to use the f3, 3, b3 when he's close several times to apply pressure to his opponent. I've tried using u1 to get out of it, but his b3 will always hit me first most of the times. I know that Rain EX Geyser Kick will get me out of it, but I don't always have a meter left. I also play with Mileena, I usually try to keep him away with u4, but as soon as he manages to get close, I'm pretty much doomed.

If that's the move I think it is (I never play Johnny) where he kicks you a couple times and ends it with an overhead kick and they're just spamming it then you have to either take the hit or use an extremely fast attack i.e. ermac's force lift, kenshi's spirit charge or a parry. You said you use rain, he's a pretty slow character so im not sure he can counter it, have you tried his b+f1 attack I'm not sure it'll work but it's worth a try.

Yeah, that's the move I'm talking about, Rain's b+f1 (spray) isn't fast enough, there's no way it'll work, I've even tried answering with 3, 3, 4, but that was a failure, I didn't realize how slow Rain was until I played against JC, Cyber Sub's ice parry is the best counter for it, but I don't like using him.

can you tell me what the move looks like? I don't recognize the inputs. I only recognize what the move looks like and I'll try to help you.

If it's the move where he like wiggles his shine/foot area at you while his thigh stays stationairy.

I'm gonna have to say all I do is try to call out whether he finishes the move or not. I'd advise just doing a D1, D3, D4 whatever is fast. To gain advantage. After you gain advantage they will either block themselves, or try to jump over your pokes. If they jump then anti air. The trick is the Cages can cut their string early, and if you don't low poke early, you'll give them another round of pressure. This is why JC is so dangerous up close, like I notice they'll do just the first part where he basically like knee's you. I'll wait for the rest but that's all he did. So he comes back in for another round of free pressure. I usually assume he's gonna add more hits, so I'll wait longer this time.

It's an annoying guessing game. But I usually just low poke out of it to get the advantage, then space properly to attack him, or be prepared to anti air a jump. Alot of people like to jump when they see you spamming pokes.

I'll be honest,,,that's how i play johnny cage too...i usually spam that combo over and over...sometime i complete it,,and sometime i didn't complete the combo on purpose just to confuse my opponent..when you complete that combo while your opponent is blocking,,it pushes your opponent away a little and it give them time to escape another pressure..but when you don't complete the combo,,the opponent is left in the same spot where you can apply another pressure...in close,,Johnny is dangerous...i still have trouble fighting someone who play johhny the same way as me because a lot of the time i dont' know what to do to escape that pressure if i don't pick Mileena...

You play Mileena right? This is what i usually do against a good cage and most of the time i win...cage player like to turtle their way to you and apply huge damage once they get close to you...so if you're Mileena and someone is cage,,it's a good mind game...Everyone fear Mileena's split kick which pop them up for a damaging combos..so most of the time they will be standing blocking..what you should do is use Mileena's long leg and keep poking Cage..after a while they're expecting to get poke so they will block low and that's when you do a split kick to pop them up for a combo...make sure you don't poke too close because cage can get you there with his annoying combo that start with a knee...poke him,,if he sit block,,split kick him..and if he's the type to jump over your poke,,jump sai blast him into a roll and throw a combo from there...

sorry my english is not that good since it's not my first language xD

It's best to play Keep away with Mileena and U+4 should not be used to keep him out. U+4 is best as a combo starter or to set up a Overhead/Low Mix up off a JiP. Use her D+4 and Instant air sais to keep him at a distance, but be careful you don't wanna air sai to high and whiff a D+4 cause he can punish both with a full combo.

Her best normal to knock him away would be her 4,2.

lol he wasn't asking over all matchup knowledge. Just specifically how to get out of his string once put in the position to block it. Obviously you don't want to be in that position in the first place, but incase you are.

Thank me later.

this is a nice video.
