How do you feel about the whole roster having a projectile?

i dont think projectile spam will be a big issue in this game - the only character that bothers me is Liu Kang - low fireball, high fireball, jumping fireball, AND a teleport sucka has it all -- cant wait to fight and beat him though 8-)
 
It's not like I said all characters with projectiles play exactly the same. Its impossible to compare this game to SF.

But what fun is it of there isn't much difference in play style from character to character.

I didn't say you did. My point is that regardless of whether or not they share projectiles, there's a lot of room for diversity in playstyle.
 
Seems everyone has a projectile and teleport. I don't see the problem with that, it creates some balance in the same way that everybody has a throw and X-Ray for example. I'm sure the projectiles do different damage and go at different speeds, have different results, etc so there is still some difference :)
 
projectiles for everyone- no problem with that as long as they differ from one another.
teleports on the other hand should be suited to certain characters playing style's. rayden's quick teleport was his thing!
 
Well, I believe ALL the characters from MK1-UMK3 had projectiles, it's not like they're adding something new that could be unbalanced. Each character's projectile has different properties: different speed, different hitbox, different damage, different results, etc. So are the teleports different, some of them are faster, some are slower, some are for scaping, some are for attacking, some can be used in combos.

@cpac: Liu Kang's teleport is a parry move, it's not like he's able to go from one side of the screen to another, the other character has to attack him from close distance for him to be able to teleport.
 
This is how its always been; this isnt a new concept. Every character has a projectile. Thats one of the staples of Mortal Kombat
