Hey... uh.. you all. What's your thoughts on THIS one?

That would take a whole hell of a lot of effort though. To remodel an Injustice female body. The artist was clever though. Frost has a similar tunic and her arm bands are simpler looking and she doesn't have the grand master badge. Also, the belt isn't an exact copy. If it's fanart, which I suspect it might be, I'm really impressed.

Problem is, nobody has MKX Sub's LEGIT textures yet.
I honestly wouldn't put it past NRS to give her an outfit like that. From a lore perspective it could be that Frost is once again Sub's best pupil, but since I have my suspicions about this being Bi Han and not Kuai, he's probably a lot more strict and watchful over her and is aware of her ambition.

Besides her skin and clothing texture quality is very injustice-like.

IMO, despite the outfit being equal Sub-Zero's, the model looks pretty NRS to me.

The fingers, the hand...the arms, the color...the eyes.

I wouldn't call fake at first, seriously :laugh:

If that's a fake, it's the best so far.
 
There's this guy on deviant art who remeshes models from MK9 and does a really good job about it too.

He didn't make that Frost one seen in the "leak/fake", but someone else might've done so.

Anyway,

*Shrugs* Idk lol This is all just speculation. But from that I would think she was trying to get the attention of one of the big warrior clans that could have been watching the deathmatches. She probably left the special forces base and sought out the Lin Kuei like before, OR Sub Zero comes to the Special Forces base and takes her with him back to the Lin Kuei temple after most of the bs in the comics is dealt with.
 
Yeah, but this Tanya looks not even as legit as Frost does for MKX.

If she had a different costume, I would call legit.

Just because of the costume I have my doubts...
 
That doesn't look fake.
1) Proportions look like of those from MKX (long neck tiny arms etc).
2) Same style as Subby.
3) Lighting and overall shading looks exactly like it does in MKX.
4) Regarding backgrounds, obviously the camera is rotated. Have you ever used MK9 Free Camera? The black stuff is simply what you're not suppose to see normally due to optimization.

IMO it looks like a scene from story mode. There's something like a shoulder pad in the corner.
 
I really want this to be true, and the characters that weren't leaked yet would be post MK3-chars like Frost, even though I never liked her very much, I believe all characters need time to shine and perhaps even die.

I think this is a very good hoax unfortunately, but I'd like to be proven wrong.

Btw what's the source of that pic?

Yep totally agree. If that was truly NRS I really doubt they would make her look THAT identical to Sub Zero.
 
The previous leaked JC and gang pics looked very low quality too. Obviously this is intentional on NRS part as that's an old build. The very early stuff they've shown looked like complete ass.

That isn't fake, you can tell it's a 3D model if you have any sort of experience whatsoever with 3D. And to slap Subby's "textures" (which is much more than that btw), one requires to acquire them. Guess what, the game ain't released yet.

When he says something like that, it means there's something legit behind it. When I tweeted him about the character select screenshots with Tanya and Shinnok, he confirmed them all to be fakes.
 
She could also very well be an unplayable npc fight. I know it would piss a lot of people off, but NRS might be going this route for characters they want to give a sendoff for and/or give closure about without throwing them all in the roster.
MAYBE. Again this is just speculation.
 
Just look at all the other females revealed and compare with this one. One thing's in common that stands out like a sore thumb - they're all tiny. I guess that's the part when NRS said that women will look "more like women do".

This is my point exactly. If someone just slapped Sub Zero's textures on a female body, it's no simple task. It's not even remotely as easy as that. No amateur artist can just whip something like that up like it was nothing. It's either legit or the work of an incredibly devoted fan artist. Seriously, there's no way a fan could get the assets from NRS to just rerig the 3D model to be in the shape of a female with blue spiky hair. That Tanya render looks like a piss poor amateur mod that could eventually be really good. But this looks at the very least, very very VERY well done for such a fake. It's up there with that so called fake Tremor leak in quality. Though the Tremor leak looked much better than even NRS was doing with everything.
 
Now that I analyzed it again, it may very well be an NPC model, which I'm totally fine with.As others have pointed it woudn't be too easy to do such a complicated model that fits NRS standards, at least for an NPC, which is what i'm betting on.
 
Exactly. This is not a fake. My bet it's a scene from story mode, and she's maybe an NPC.
The Tanya mod is basically MK9 female base mixed with Jade and other "custom" stuff like those shitty N64+Paint geometry and textures. It's basically a Frankenstein.
The Tremor leak that I've seen was basically a WIP sculpt someone was doing. I don't think the guy was going for "NRS" quality.
