Have they confirmed online ranks?

I hope it's not the failure that is SSF4. You can be a D rank, and do quick match against someone ur skill and it ranks you in a match again a B+ character and every character u play has a different ranking. herp derp

That is the only thing I am getting annoyed at. I understand that they don't want to show us story mode. But online? Why are they keeping so quite on that? If more people knew about KotH besides just a cam footage I am sure they would even get more preorders.

The only thing they have confirmed about online is
A: You need an online pass
B: You can't play tag team with 4 people online.

lol...

We for them to say its the most robust online ever seen in a fighting game they better have alot, especially replays. Without replays, that statement fails

Why would you need online with 4 people in the same room? the BEST thing this game has, is being able to play tag team online against another 2 randoms. and being able to play with u and ur friend beside u as the team.

I hated SSF4 for that, me and my girlfriend could never play together at the same time.

Did i miss something? Thats new to me. So u can´t play online 2 vs 2 tag team?

You can. he means 4 ppl in teh same room (which i dont know why ud need online if thats the case). Boon has already said 2 ppl playing on the same console can play tag together online against another 2 people.

From Ed Boons twitter account

@noobde so will two people on the same console be able to play Tag Mode online on the same team?

Noobde: Oh hellz yes.

Same thing will happen with MK. It will do a search for people of your rank quickly, and if no one is waiting for a match it will grab the next best match.

Not to mention playing better players is the only way you're going to improve at the game yourself. herp derp

If you're a new player in SSF4 and u go online, and theres no D ranked on, ull get shit on every fight and itll just make u rage

To all the people asking for the source of no online tag 2 v 2.... Shaun aka awesome99 has since deleted his twitter for some reason... Even though it was a legit twitter cause Ed and Hans talked to him all the time.... Anyways the tweet was in this thread here.

http://www.trmk.org/forums/showthread.php/17035-Online-Tag-Battle

And the twitter message said

"RT @awesome99: @Ate_Bit_Zombie yes four people. Just not four consoles. 2 people on 2 consoles can play. Or 3 and 1 on 2 consoles."

So aka you and a friend can't be a team online.. but you can be a team on the same console.. Which I think sucks because I moved from where I was born so all my friends are in Texas so no couch coop for me.

You can play 2 vs 2, it just cant be on 4 different consoles, probably due to alot of lag.

Ow, didn´t know that. Damn, i was really looking forward to this 2vs2 online mode. But i don´t wanna play with a friend on the same console every time :/

So would you rather not be matched up with anyone at all and just sit there watching the screen? Because eventually all fighting games will end up this way. The casual gamers are going to eventually move on to whatever the next big game release is, and the majority of people left will be dedicated players.

My advice is to play better competition and learn from it. If you're going to rage quit, instead of learning from what you're doing wrong, you probably aren't cut out for competitive fighters. Playing the same pool of mediocre players over and over will only give you false hope.

Well put, dude!

I also want to hear more about the online, I think it would be perfect timing for them to announce a lot of the online features this week.
