Online Tag Battle

Hi guys. It's my first post here.

I don't know about you, but I was quite hyped up regarding the Tag Battle mode for this game, I'm sure a lot of us would have enjoyed teaming up with a friend against other players.
I was really disappointed when I heard it will only be possible for people playing on the same console.
I mean, I have lots of online friends I wanted to team up with...

I'll try to enjoy this mode anyway, but damn.

Not gonna lie my interest in this mode went down quite a bit, but ill still play it from time to time I suppose.

Yeah, I feel the same. I used to play MK with my brother back then, and since we live away from each other now, I was looking forward to teaming up with him online against other players.
Especially since his fav char is Jax and mine is Sonya. You get the idea.

That's an interesting question... I guess it's probably possible, but it hasn't been confirmed or denied so far I think.
But hey, since having 2 players on one side online is only possible while playing on the same console, you'd think it's probably possible to play it 4 players locally. At least I hope so for their sake.

Still, I really can't accept the lack of such a feature for the online, as older games did it. DOA4 for instance, you could play 4 players Tag Battle Online... and that's a 6 years old game.
 
Yea my friends was VERY pissed off when i told them about this. This and no sign of a replay mode feature is pretty disappointing but hopefully they'll add these things later later on.

Was really looking forward to tagging up.

I know how you feel. It's just so frustrating they didn't include this.

But the whole Tag Battle mode feels a bit rushed, if you want my opinion.
First of all, it doesn't seem they actually tried to make use of all its potential. I mean, yeah ok, being able to do nasty combos while juggling with both characters is pretty cool (although fighters like DOA and Tekken have been doing it for years), but why stop here ? If they went as far as add special retreating moves and animation for each char, then why deny special winning poses too instead of having only the active character pose when they win ? DOA had some cool coop winning stances, for instance. As well as coop throws which looked sick in motion. MK could have coop Fatalities, that would have been BEAST.
Tag Battle feels rushed to me.

I wish I had your confidence. This kind of stuff is tricky to add post release, even through a patch or an update. They'd have to rework the whole netcode for it to work with 4 players, and I don't think that's ever been done.
We can still hope though.
 
Well... That is just beyond retarded.

I was really excited to do a tag team match ONLINE against other people.

I moved away from all my friends who play MK, how in the world am I going to do that now? GG NRS. >:[


Oh and that dude that has a hard time speaking ENGLISH is very hard to understand in that video. Damn.
 
That's because he's French.
Go easy on him ... having the proper accent when speaking a foreign language is a hard thing.

Even I can't understand it and I LIVE IN FRENCH LAND. That dude must be from france, lmao.. Defiantly not Canada.
 
this news sucks!!! now i can say there is something about this game that disappoints me...and its a doozy...i dont really have any friends that will come over to play this on a regular basis. especially not skilled friends. they're all on line. this is suxxor

Yeah, hence the "he's French" part, you know ? lol whatever, dude. Who cares about the interviewer I was paying more attention to what they were answering, really.

Yeah he is from France. Since you know, that interview took place in Paris. Looks like somebody did not watch the entire video :P

I don't really get why they don't have 2v2 online for four players on different consoles. That would have been fantastic. But for all the awesomeness packed in this game it's not even a dent for me.
 
I am not worried much about the tag team mode right now....but i must say, that this interview is probably the best i've seen so far about this game. It answers many questions we want to know (i.e. what to do with spammers, infinites, pullers, and cheaters) i loved how they answered it and implemented all the settings in the game for professional use and not for no b.s. DACninja type shit. lol!



P.s.
LOL!! wouldn't it be hillarious to see someone online (you and i for instance) to use regular sub zero and cyber sub zero for tag team! HOW CLICHE would that be? hahahaha!
 
i dont think this is true, they wouldnt make a tag-team battle mode if u cant play it online thats the whole point. i wouldnt worry about this im 100% sure it will be enable for online.
