Has anyone played the demo on the Madcatz SE or TE fightstick?

Good question!

btw, how do x-ray in the TE Arcade Stick?

L2+R2

It's already been stated, and doable in the demo, that there are 2 different ways topull off things using just the 4 face buttons and block.

X-Ray = L2 + R2/LT + RT = X + O + R2/A + B + RT (The 3 lower buttons on the stick)

Throw = R1/RB = Square + X/X + A (Both punches at the same time, the 2 left buttons on the arcade stick)

You don't need R1/L2, or RB/LT. The moves that are done using these buttons, are available using just the 4 face buttons as well as block. Tag is L1/LB, which is located right next to the face buttons and block, where run used to be on the old arcade cabinets.

They've thought this through, you won't have to move your hand from the main buttons in order to perform anything.

Edit:

Here's picture examples I threw together for anyone confused:

Thanks cyborg, I was wandering what they did for the X-ray move on the MK stick makes sense.
As for the TE sticks I don't really care for them when it comes to playing the MK games. Atleast, with them using a square gate. I've never used a round gate/ octo gate in a sanwa or Seimitsu so if you modify the stick it will probably give you a more American/Euro feel on the Japanese stick using the octo gate. what I really like on the Japanese arcade sticks are the buttons they are amazingly responsive you barely have to press them. I've even considered making a stick with an IL stick and sanwa buttons with the original arcade MK layout.

What i'm starting to think given the layout of the stick is the possibility of them including the older arcade versions as an unlockable in the game it definitely would not surprise me given they are going back to the old style of play
