German Gamepro article rough info guide

That makes sense about the original 7. I feel like I should have saw that coming or atleast predicted its possibility. Probably no Kabal then, huh? :( in the back of my mind I was still hoping.. well at least I have Kano and Sub-Zero to fall back on.

Google translate is broken as shit. I'm pretty sure there's some MK fan from Germany that would be happy to translate the whole issue for us.
 
Who knows guys, these "leaks" may be false. The roster may literally be new characters and returning MK9 characters, with only like 1 or 2 characters from the MK4-MKA timeline(Ed did say we definitely will see a MK4 character, so at least one).

Im NOT to thrilled about this. I mean having Sonya & Johnny in the story, sure I can live with that, but taking up 2 PLAYABLE roster slots seems like a waste. Could definitely use those 2 spots for other returning characters or newer characters!

I agree. Although, it wasn't confirmed yet if they were playable in the article, right? It just said they'd have a major role in the story, not that they'd be playable. They could just be NPC's. "Players" can mean that they play an important part lol
 
Ed Boon has just confirmed Kotal Kahn as the new Emperor of Outworld in the Machinima Raiden trailer.

So that 'Kotal Kahn...will prove to be Shao Kahn's son in the story mode' could be a misterpretation of Kotal Kahn will prove to be Shao Kahn's descendant as his successor.

And you can see a new arena on the stage selection screen in that video which was also mentioned in the Gamespro article. So it seems legit.

There also needs to be an explanation for Mileena not being on the Outworld throne. I was under the impression that she was the legal heir to Shao Kahn (this was even explicitly stated in MK9's story mode, and she was never killed off on-screen). Then again, transfer of power in Outworld has not been known to be peaceful.

Thats a usual thing same happend for MK9 and alot of other games which got banned here, because they arent banned till they get released.
 
I hope Cage and Sonya are not playable, or Cassie is a huge waste movesetwise.

Looks like Kano borrowed mechanical heart from Hsu Hao. Did he borrowed some moves as well (my hope for thunderclap here)?

Kazuya was playable simultaneously with Jin from Tekken 4 onward. Heihachi has ALWAYS been in simultaneously with one or both of those 2 as well.

I know but i got an entire shelf with Magazines about games which got later banned here its nothing special that games which have a huge chance of getting banned here get Articles in different Magazines.

Damn, that looks like a nice read.

They messed a few things up with the retrospective though. They have MK9 and MKDC Scorpion models mixed up.
And it looks like they used the muddy Unchained model for Deception Scorpion.
