Frost (DLC) Thread - "Could Frost merely be hibernating?"

Frosts whole purpose was to steal the Dragon amulet though, and it was when Sub-Zero became Grand Master of the Lin Kuei where he started teaching her(without knowing of her plot).

Now Sub-Zero is a cyber ninja, I dont see him becoming the Grand Master in this universe anymore (even though his fur ninja outfit was dope as a %^&*#(&#%^*@)

Frost, was a cool character for a time there was only 1 Sub-Zero, i think she was the traditional fill in. Normally it was Masked, or Unmasked...relating to Older and Younger Sub-Zero.

I have nothing against her coming back, or her not, however i think she served her purpose well in the previous story, and dont see it working out to well just yet, but i can be wrong
 
Sektor has the Dragon amulet now though ... doesn't prevent Frost's "steal the amulet" plot at all, just changes the details.

Would be an interesting tweak to her plot. When she was training under Sub-Zero he tried to edge her toward the side of good. If Sektor's Arcade Ending is indeed canon, we could see Frost go in a new direction under Sektor's slightly more evil-skewed tutelage lol.
 
For those of you who do want her in would you prefer her being good, evil, neutral or wouldnt it matter just as long as she was in?

I think with the whole back story of sub zero/scorpion/quan chi/shinnok (which seems to still be relevent in this reboot) I feel her presence could easily fit in this time around
From MKDA we learnt nothing about her except that sub zero taught her and she ende up wanting the amulet. There is plenty more to explain which ever way they take the story

And even if Sektor's isn't canon, that means his father is still bossman, and he's indicated to be as evil as Sektor, or nearly so. Though I think Sektor/Cyrax's endings are among the most likely to be canon (minus the Kahn parts).

Neutral, partly because she was originally neutral, just power obsessed followed by insane. And partly because the bad guys have a tendency to outnumber the good guys, especially right now, and I'd like a little more balance there.
 
I want them to get kill off Cyber Sub and Original sub and just have Frost. She's cooler imo

You gotta be kidding. If they make a game without Sub-Zero they would have to change the name of it, because that's not Mortal Kombat.

And frost being cooler than Sub-Zero... lol that's hilarious
If it wasn't for Sub-Zero that horrendous female bad copy of him wouldnt exist.

Yeah Id still keep sub zero as well as frost. I feel that cyber sub was a bit of an experiment that theyve wanted to try for years. They done it and i think its time to move on. He was good but i prefer the normal sub.

will cyber scorpian be next.... haha jk
 
i would like to see Frost in future installments in this new timeline. i've always prefered her over the other female characters.
 
I wouldn't mind Frost coming back. If she comes back (which I'm pretty sure she will), I don't want her to be evil or good. I would like, no, love her to be neutral, a selfish, sexy, arrogant, and seductive female warrior who uses her sexuality to get what she wants. Maybe she could the Catwoman of MK in terms of her personality. Unlike Tanya, she is not as treacherous, wouldn't strive for power, and only cares for her own agendas. It would be up to the developers to decide what those agendas are exactly.

Gameplay wise, she would be a much more offensive and accessible version of the human Sub-Zero, but unlike him, she wouldn't possess an ice ball/freeze move. I could think of more ideas for her gameplay-wise to set her apart from Sub-Zero, but I don't feel like it right now. It's good enough that she at least doesn't look anything like Sub-Zero or the klassic female ninjas. She could be a really good character if handled right; I see quite a bit of potential in her.

I still have to suggest a Freeze Breath that works like the Flamethrowers to completely differentiate her between the other two. It would be excellent AA, while not having near the range of the other two. Unless the EX version was like Kintaro's flamethrower, but that might be a little extreme.

As same as people like another horrendous things about other aspects of life (ideology, politic, etc), they like horrendous bad copies of the original characters too. And i wont say that there is "many" people, just a few like Frost and a lot, A LOT love Sub-Zero, so your idea of Frost replacing Sub-Zero is simply ridiculous.

Why does my idea have to be rediculous? That is simply your opinion as my opinion is I like her more...

You can have opinions yes, you can like her yes, you can prefer her over SZ yes, but the simply idea of Frost replacing SZ is ridiculous, im sorry but it is that. Do you want Frost ok, add it, no prob, but she cannot replace SZ, no way. Is like replacing Scorpion with a girl with a whip that says "Come with me" (refering Scorpion's spear) that would be ridiculous. And i have another example, is like replacing Kitana with a guy with fans, that'd be awkward and stupid.

EDIT: Dont take this personal, but serioulsy i think is a bad idea, fortunly NRS will never take the risk of removing SZ.

Personally I hope frost never makes it into MK9. We got Sub-Zero and Cyber Subzero do we really need Frost who's only cool power was already given to Sub-Zero as his Enhanced ground ice. I understand if she was to be put in she would probably get an entirely new move set but I personally don't like her.

I don't like her story, Sub-Zero practically takes her under his wing and the dumb ***** trys to betray him. Even after the betrayal Sub-Zero honors her suposed death.

I don't like her concept, personally i have never had any problems with "clone characters" but after seeing how so many people hate them why do they keep requesting them. Frost was a decent character in deadly alliagance but even her design bothers me. After seeing some of their Frost concepts in the DA krypt I'm severly disappointed with their final out come
 
She is in need of an upgrade. She was in DA for the first time and she was only in MKA because everyone was and no time could really be given to updating her too much.

Storywise, anything is possible now, i think they like to keep most elements from the previous MK games, but i think creating something new is a great idea. (i like what they did with kabals story).
Change isnt always a bad thing, but dont throw away everything about a character so that they are no longer the same person.
