Yeah, some GL's are popular while some others aren't. Depends on which GL lol

@ Glamador, actually only the older GL's are vulnerable to yellow, not the newer ones like John, Kyle etc. It has no effect on them.

Ermac would be sick in this game as GL's counterpart:mrgreen:
 
I know it doesn't effect them anymore but it's still fun to say it. I don't like that they arn't affected by it anymore, they're practically all powerful now.
 
It really is a stupid weakness though. The person who came up with it should have been fired on the spot.

It's not any more stupid than a radioactive rock that makes a particular alien species weak--not radiation poisoned, mind you--and then has no effects whatsoever on humans.

Not in the vast majority of the original stories where it was introduced, it sure didn't. No effects at all on humans. The cancer thing was retconed into it much later. Plus, if it really causes cancer, then half of Superman's supporting cast of characters should all be droppin' like flies by now, as they have all been exposed to it frequently.

At least the yellow thing for GL has a certain consistent logic to it. His power doesn't affect certain frequencies of light. That's consistent.

Kryptonite's effects = inconsistent, arbitrary, stupid.

Just sayin'.
 
I liked the yellow weakness. The idea of having power over everything in the universe except the color yellow was pretty awesome. A great weakness for a great weapon.

And GL is very, very popular right now. Every DC fan I know has it on their pull list. Geoff Johns is frakking awesome.
 
The main stupid thing about it is that very few things are completely yellow. You could throw a school bus at him, he could catch the chassis, he could grab a banana by the stalk. There are too many ways around it. Only a yellow power ring like Sinestro's would truly be effective against it. Do the yellow ones have a weakness? If not, the GL corps really need to change their arsenal.
 
I also felt also that the yellow was a little silly to hurt the older GL's but overall had that originality to it IMO.

As for Green K being dumb for harming people, not really if you think about it. It's a rock from another planet that has radiation to it. How would you know how it would affect a human? According to comics it gave cancer, messed up people in some ways in Smallville mutated some people and gave them certain abilities.

It makes a lot of sense if you ask be speaking as how it's a fragment from another planet that is radiation based.

Radiation=cancer if exposed to it for too long or depending out how powerful, just like with our own real life world.
