Originally I wanted to make this thread about fighting game characters only, but then I figured it would end up turning into favorite characters in general.

Out of all movies, games, comics, books, and so forth who are your favorite fictional characters. Why?

List as many as you like and please also tell us why you like them. This way it makes for more discussion. Plain out lists tend to not be read but when you throw in reasons, it makes it more enjoyable as a read and more entertaining.

Spawn - His comic is one of the most entertaining and he just looks badass
Avengelyne - My favorite comic when i was around 12 - 15
Yuna - My favorite Final Fantasy character, she just had that kinda shy good girl next door thing
Riddick - The best anti hero in any movie
Wolverine - Best X-Men period

Theres more, but I dont feel like putting em right now.

Scorpion, 'cause he's the man. Sonic, 'cause he's the... hedgehog. Those two have been favorites for the better part of my life. I can't say I'm really big on any movie characters or anything, but... OH! Batman. I was always a huge fan of Batman. I like that he's such a dark character and that he's just a normal guy who happens to have some cool shit.

Favorite Characters......

Conan...always get's his fight on, his steal on, his steel on, his drink on, his chickies on, and he hates wizards! P.S Please someone make more movies, books and a Kick ass Conan game!

Jubei Kimagabi.. Ninja Scroll... Baddest MOFOe in Fuedal Japan...nuff said

Madmartigan.. Greatest swordsman that ever lived

Drizzt Do'Urden... Greatest Swords Drow that ever lived

Favorite MK Characters are of course Reptile, the original super secret Badassssssss, and closely followed by Scorpion, the ghost rider of the ninja universe.

Well lets see, favorite comic...Gee, I read so many...hmm...I guess I enjoy astonishing X-men the most right now. The look on Wolverine's face when they brought cyclops back was more than words could explain.

Favorite fictional novel hero....Screw Drizzt, Bruenor is the man. Always has been, always will be.. Course he is a little crazy, after my own heart.

Favorite Comic book villian - Thanos, well, you can't really call Thanos a villian. More of a hero. (Read "The end" and all 12 issues of his comic before making a statement about this.)

Favorite COmic book hero - Marvel Universe, has to be Spider-man. (I've been reading since 1985.) "With great power comes great responsibility"

DC Universe - Hal Jordan, The green lantern. Becoming almost godlike and that the Green lanterns have always been fancy.

My favorite game, there have been so many, FFxi is a favorite of mine right now. It's an unending FF game with so much to do, so much to explore and awesome people to do it with.

I agree. Cassaday and Whendon have done an excellent job with Astonishing X-Men. It's by far the best X-title out on the market right now. Not a huge Colossus fan but i'm glad he is back. Probabaly the character that's grown on me most since the series started is Emma. I think they are doing her character very nicely and the problems with Kitty are hilarious at times.

I also am a huge Thanos fan. He's been one of my favorite characters in comics since I started reading. I like his look, his personality, and his over-powered self. I started the Thanos series but only got a few issues as I stopped collecting comics for about a year. I have recently got back into them, for good, and plan on getting a hold of the missing issues. I wasn't happy to hear they canceled the series though. Blast the idiots who failed to buy Thanos! He should wipe them from existence.

Great Thread El Chup

Movies-

Dante and Randal -Clerks- These to characthers are just so hilarious Dante who is the common worrying, lack of self-esteem person, he knows he has the ability to make a better life for himself out of the conveinant store, but doesnt bother to leave due to what he's familiar to.Well Randal on the other hand is outgoing and is always trying to prove Dante wrong. Not only Dante, but im sure all of us would like to resemble the conciousness and unconciousness of Dante and Randal.

Tyler Durden and... Tyler Durden- Fight Club - Pretty much the same relation with Dante and Randal without the comic relief. One finds satisfaction with familiararity and security the other living on the edge and not defining yourself to material items, which was everything that Tyler wanted to be, but couldnt be until becoming scitzophrinic.

Brodie- Mallrats- Just a ridiculous, hilarious characther by Kevin Smith. Brodie is just utterly sarcastic and witty.

Han Solo- Star Wars- A flat cocky, confident and bad ass characther whos willing to go up aganist the odds, and always enjoys showing off.

Jason Bourne- A bad ass, crafty assassin who's willing to do anything to find out about his past.

Video Games

Scorpion- Mortal Kombat- Doing anything and everything to put away the demons that still haunt him regarding the death of his family. He uses this hatered which is benifical to his cause.

Solid Snake- Metal Gear Solid- Does everything hes told to do, but other then that doesnt give a damn about anything else. A hardcore bad ass.

Agent 47- Hitman- Another Bad ass that is willing to do anything to get the job done regardless of what it is.

Comics-

Not really into comics but my list has gotta be

Wolverine- Another bad ass who doesnt care what anyone thinks of him.

Venom- a feared bad ass who looks cool. Plain and simple

Video game characters never live next door, since they aren't real....?

I always liked the Punisher (the comic character, not movies guy [not that the movie was bad]). I suppose it was all the brutal violence, since thats almost the only thing that series has, but I've always the "regular guy" who takes up arms and becomes a vigilante with no super powers. And the way he goes and protects the streets, sure, all super heroes do that, but theres just somthing about the way Frank Castle does his business and the whole presentation that I like. And I also like the way the story with the reporter who would do anything for a story turns out.
