Fatality help please

Hi.

I'm having a little trouble with the Fatality movies in MKA. I can get most moves to work, but I'm having trouble getting anything that requires a "Back" motion to execute. Special moves that use "back" work fine, but any fatality, like the neck snap that uses something like "Back, Back" or "Back Forward" just won't work. Is there a trick to getting these to work.

Also, when you are doing a chain, can you start the next move while the animation for the previous move is still playing. If I do the heart rip, do I have to wait for the character to pull out the heart before I can start a spine pool.?

Lastly, is there on online guide for this kind of thing, not a move list, but a detailed guide?

There's no trick. Overall I found it very responsive. One thing I can say, it's much easier on the D-Pad than on the joystick. And you don't have to wait for the animation to finish nope. In fact, if you did, you wouldn't get past maybe 5 of them. Look up some videos online to get a feel for the timing. As for the button inputs, I dunno, I've never had any trouble. Just remember that certain directional inputs don't work with certain face buttons.

So, I can input Forward, Foward, Attack 2 for the heart rip and IMEDIATELY start inputting Toward, Toward Attack 1 for something else as soon as the heart pull animation starts?

Also, what do you mean some directional imputs don't work with some face buttons? Should I use the d-pad for some moves and the Analog for others?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks for all the help.

I'm sorry to be posting again, but I am still having so much trouble with Backward motion finishers. Special moves like Cage's shadow kick or Scorpions spear that require backward motions are no problem at all, but I can not get the neck break or torso pull finisher to work at all, nor can I do the brain rip, all of which use the back motion. I'm playing on a 360, do you think that could matter?

I think what he meant was that not every possible directional input has a functional move ending in every possible button, if that makes sense. So if you're just randomly trying to get through chains hitting F, F, X, then F, F, Y, then F, F, A, then F, F, B, they're not all necessarily going to be working fatality moves. However, it sounds like you're going by the actual movelist and not just hammering away arbitrarily, so you can disregard that.

Unless I misinterpreted that, of course.

Quite possible. I haven't had any problems with those moves on the original Xbox, and an emulated version of a game will never be completely infallible. All I could suggest is tracking down another system to try it on.

By the way, please try to refrain from double-posting in the future. If you have something else to add, that's fine, just edit your last post instead.

Yes you can start inputting one command right after another. As for trouble inputting buttons...well...sorry to be blunt, but you just suck. You need to practice all sorts of methods of input until you find a good flow for your hands.

you just suck. .

I figured that was probably the problem :-D

I did finally get the torso pull to work, but still no luck at all with the neck snap. Is the move "back, back, Attack 4". It would be really sad if I had been trying to do the wrong move for a week.
