This is one of my favorite movies of all time.
The story is set in 1997. Crime in the U.S. has increased to four-hundred percent, which leads to New York City being turned into a maximum security prison, no one is allowed in or out (even guards). The main character is a former special forces solider named Snake Plissken, whose being sent to the prison for life, but an extremist has token over Air Force 1 and the president is forced to eject his escape pod into New York City (which he's soon captured). Bob Hauk (Who I think is the warden) tells Snake that if he rescues the president, he'll pardon Snake, and to make sure Snake doesn't try anything, he inject him with a virus that will kill him in 24 hours, so Snake has to president before he dies.
Anyway I recommend this film to people who love action movies, you will love it like I did.
