This game is getting crazy good reviews! 2d hack & slash games are the best. Is anyone else picking this game up at launch and interested in playing online co-op? I don't have a headset, so we might have to find another way to communicate lol.

That game looks pretty sick. Prolly gonna have to rock that Amazon, because no dragon is a match for an Amazon

A friend of mine is really pumped for this game. I might pick it up at some point since it looks fun and it's published by Atlus, so it must be good.

I have my eyes set on The Sorceress. My only disappointment is that there's isn't a package deal with both the PS3 and Vita versions.

I am enjoying the game so far. I have mostly been rotating between the fighter, amazon, and elf. However, I'm unsure about what skills would be useful. Unless there is a way to respec my characters, I don't want to have start over because I screwed up my build.

I've found the most valuable skills for the Amazon so far have been Parry, Berserk Upgrades, Extra Evade and Extra Buzzsaw trajectories.
War Paint also destroys bosses.

And I love using her against large mobs weaponless. Gets her much faster, Berserk sooner and her 4 hit combo into instant evade dick kick makes her really hard to hit.

So far, my sorceress is at level 9, she can drop rocks from the sky, she's the weakest character in the game, she relies on her magic and that consumes mp like crazy, I only play with her for TWO reasons. The elf is probably the easiest one to use, I actually re-did some of the stages twice to uprade my characters faster. Being able to cross-save when you have it on both the ps3 and Vita is a cool feature.

My Amazon is level 17 right now. Just beat the Golem stage.

I'm not sure when, but I heard that there is a huge difficulty spike at some point in the game. So I'm making sure to complete every side quest lol

Gazer is by far the hardest boss I've fought so far.
Unblockable projectiles and instakill moves up the ass

Playing as the elf, I'm going to invest most of my skill pints in the bow and arrow skill tree. Power Shot, Impact Arrow, and Clone Arrows (when I get to that level) seem to be the way to go.

However, there will a times where I will run out of arrows and need something to fall back on. It seems like the 3 paths would be...

Kicks: Dumping skills points in Deadly Boots to give boots extra damage. I heard this scales badly late game, but kicking is the only way to hit airborne enemies without arrows.

Elemental Lore: Unlike the magic used by the Wizard and Sorceress, it has unlimited use, but it's also weaker than the dedicated spell casters. It uses a wind spell by default though the spell changes depending on where you are standing.

Daggers: Points are dumped into Backstab for the damage. Maintenance and Holdout Dagger add some longevity. Like arrows, daggers benefit from Toxic Extract and Salmander Oil. You must be behind to take advantage of the backstabbing ability, but the damage output is insane. Sadly, daggers, like all weapons you pick up have limited uses and this route requires a huge investment in SP.

Unlocked online play yesterday. Really a lot more fun than I thought. Makes the game a lot easier too since most people have their own crazy combos. And the cooking minigame is awesome. I doubt I would have beaten the Extra paths with just the AI at the level I did.

Hit 30 today. Beastin shit. Working towards maxing out her shockwave skills and getting full Berserker.

Berserk is must for any Amazon build; honestly without it there little reason to use her over the Fighter or Dwarf. Brandish and Punisher are also great skills since they help in activating berserk mode faster.

Parry may not be for me since my sense of timing sucks, and there are moments where I find my character lost in the crowd. I'm thinking of putting points into Stun Wave or Neck Splitter instead.

Yo final boss

Felt like a midboss. Didn't even have a second form.

Gargoyle Gate & Doom Beetle have my vote for most intense fights. Not the hardest, but definitely the most intense.

If I had one complaint about this game, it's that there aren't many, if any, competitive factors about multiplayer.
With the exception of food and weapons, there isn't much of a race between players to grab something cool.
I'm not saying the lucky bastard who stands under a treasure geyser should keep all the points, but a post level tally of whoever got the most points would be appreciated. Maybe give an XP or gold multiplier for highest score, most kills, least damage taken, most successful evades, longest combo, most damage done to boss etc.

Funny thing about Gazer is I beat it the first time I faced it, but when I went to redo that stage, I got my ass kicked lol, cause the sorceress is all projectiles and my teammates (AI) are terrible.
