Does Jade have no fans?

Even though you speak, respectfully, I cannot understand and agree this thing about stereotype.

As far as I know, a stereotype is manner of behaving.

It's bad when it exalts unrealistic things or existing things in an offensive way.

While Jax's rapper costume was a joke, yet could be considered a stereotype, I think "jive talking" is something many black americans do.

And Kai and Cyrax do not talk jive. It's like in real life. While some black people do, others don't.

I don't think it's needed someone to ask for black characters. The etnicity is part of our society, it's absolutely normal that a writer who bases his creations on reality wants a black character. And about "jive", well, MK is well known for jokes, nods, movie references (like Black Dynamite), you know.

MK is based on Earth, I did expect black characters (I'm not including edenian ones) and not for some kind of social inclusion.

She likes tanya probably because she along with jade are the ONLY black women in the franchise yet.

I was just answering to cyro's post when he was asking why people would complain if there was no black character in MKX. I may have an exaggerated opinion, but exaggerations are sometimes necessary to get a point across. I have no problem with black characters in a game like MKX, nor asians, nor native americans. What is stupid is that, lets say for some reason or another, MKX does not have Jax or other black characters in it, why would there be complaining? Why?, because as much as we want everybody to be "color blind", its not possible and a black person complaining that there is no black characters is a great example of not being "color blind". That is racist. Racism is a problem, and unfortunately many black people are the most racist.
I honestly would not complain one bit if the characters in mkx were all every race except white. I wouldn't mind.
Personally, I think Tanya is really sexy and would be a fine character in MKX. See, no racism here. :)

ok I'm not black but just you writing this made me discount your whole post! you are 30 years old and hold this viewpoint. geez! you dont know MOST blacks.
so lets say this- if MKX was all males and i came to the forums to gripe about wanting to play a female character am i being sexist?

You won't mind mkX without white characters because EVERY SINGLE game out there is composed with 90% of white people in contrast with black people reality which is to have one or two characters in a game of 30 characters representing them.
Also, calling tanya sexy, because she is black, is racism as you are objectifying and fetishizing black women.

No, you wouldn't be sexist. You are looking for variety. An all male cast would definitely be dull. OK, I apologize about that very strong post I made. I would definitely like to talk about the awesomeness that will be MKX and not other sensitive topics.

That's fine, but all I said was that she is sexy. I did not say why I thought she was sexy. You, on the other hand, are making things up to accuse me of something that is not true. I don't think Tanya's sexy just because she is black. False. She is sexy because she has a cute face, slim body, and nice boobs. I wanted to point out to Tanya4eva that I like Tanya and she does happen to be black. I added it to the conversation in order to make a point that I am not racist. I like Tanya and she happens to be black.

I'd be sad for about a minute, then I'd get the f*** over it and buy MK anyways, because I don't just buy MK for 1 character and I NEVER have in my 22 years as a fan, unlike a lot of people on here.
At 1 point in time I contemplated MKX actually having either no Sub-Zero or a Cyber Sub-Zero, due to the end of MK9, both which are terrible, IMO.
I was disappointed because of that possibility, but then I got over it and my focus shifted on to "How is MKX going to top MK9?"
Rain and Nightwolf were 2 of my MK9 mains too, but I honestly don't give a shit if those 2 aren't in MKX, especially Nightwolf who was my MK9 favorite, due to Kotal Kahn being in and being the new "native" / "tribal" character in MKX.
Ferra / Torr are also tribal characters.
Can't wait to try that pair out too.
I'm not close-minded like a lot of people on here are.
If NRS made their roster decisions based on the comments in these threads, we'd NEVER get a single new character in MKX, because everybody's too busy with "Waaaaaaaaaaaaah, NRS, please bring _______________ back."
 
Wow. The amount of assholery just went up to 11 in this piece. Frankly, I don't think including characters of color as tokenism. If NRS wants to include Jax and Jaquie, then they really should and I think it'd be a very welcome thing. Though NRS totally needs to make sure to write good stories for them, develop them, make sure they're interesting. That's something that admittedly, they haven't done too well. BUT. It's not always going to be that way or has to and I don't think making sure that PoC being characters is a bad thing. Representation, inclusion... these things are not injustices or sins in the slightest.

Jax wearing gold chains and wearing hip hop clothes is racist, a negative stereotype and just completely wrong of Midway to have done, back in the day, and you'd have to be as blind as a bat not to see that.
Jax has always been the very definition of a "token" character in MKX.
Cyrax, Jade and Tanya, on the other hand, not token characters.

I follow you on that. He doesn't HAVE TO be that. The only reason this whole fiasco was brought up was because I expressed a desire for variety in regards to representation. Tokenism sucks, but wanting PoC included in your entertainment is not a demand for tokenism, it's a demand for variety.

To lots of people, he still is that, though, because Midway left that bad taste in people's mouth, regarding Jax.
I want a variety of characters too, but more than anything I want the reason for it to make sense.
Jacqui makes sense to me, since she's Jax's daughter.
I don't just want a bunch of characters shoved into MKX, just for PC reasons, though.
We live in a day and age, where, sadly people feel the need to change genders, sexuality or race of a character, because if you don't then "_________________ will get offended." Smh :roll:

Yeah. You, me, and everyone else is just going to have to accept that fact. It's a PC world BECAUSE the world before that was bleeding horrible for representation of non-white and non-males in the west. And yes, Jax is evidence that AT LEAST FOR NOW, PC is probably the best way to go because we still haven't quite gotten to the point of accurate and believable and respectable representation. We're not a post-racial society and there seems to be this prevailing attitude despite best efforts that minorities should just get over history already so that the powers that be doesn't have to think about them anymore. Some day we'll likely become a post-racial and post-gender society, but respectfully, I don't think having a beef with PC and just demanding that everyone just drop the issue is the best course of action. Things really seem to change for the better when people DON'T drop the issues. But I'm going on a tangent that I don't really care to elaborate on too much.
