Even though you speak, respectfully, I cannot understand and agree this thing about stereotype.
As far as I know, a stereotype is manner of behaving.
It's bad when it exalts unrealistic things or existing things in an offensive way.
While Jax's rapper costume was a joke, yet could be considered a stereotype, I think "jive talking" is something many black americans do.
And Kai and Cyrax do not talk jive. It's like in real life. While some black people do, others don't.
I don't think it's needed someone to ask for black characters. The etnicity is part of our society, it's absolutely normal that a writer who bases his creations on reality wants a black character. And about "jive", well, MK is well known for jokes, nods, movie references (like Black Dynamite), you know.
MK is based on Earth, I did expect black characters (I'm not including edenian ones) and not for some kind of social inclusion.
