I'd love to see Tanya/ Nitara.

Sareena does make an appearance in The Pit on the second bridge.
 
One question: Why DO people like Skarlett? What did she even do in-game? I mean, you can't give her Kitana's exact moves and appearence, if thats all she had going for her.

Ok, let us all put our brains to work...

...Did you consider the possibility of Skarlett having her own storyline/moveset? You can't just assume she will be a pallete swap of Kitana.
This whole "he(/she) can't fit in due to lack of originality" needs to end. Plus, MK always had a poor female roster.
 
I wouldn't mind, i like the female ninjas (bar Tanya) so having Skarlett added to the rooster would be great for me (i would have her replace one of the originals i don't like so probably Sheeva)

I guess. I mean, I suppose they could give her a weapon that they have never given a character. Like that ball & chain thing Gogo Yubari uses from Kill Bill Vol1.
 
If Skarlett is a hidden character in this game, I would want her to just have Kitana and Mileena's moves. If they were to flesh her out before other under-appreciated characters, *cough*Tremor, then I'd be dissapointed.

If Skarlett were to be in this game as a secret character, and just as a secret character, then I doubt they would give her new animations and attacks.
If she were to be in this game as an unlockable or main roster character, I still doubt they would give her a new moveset. They might give her half of Kitana's basic attacks and half of Mileena's. As for specials, she might throw a red star or something, but it would most likely be done with Mileena's sai throw animation.

Has there been other video evidence of shared moves? I mean you could be right, but unless that was something for an interview taken out of context I'd say she probably will have her own moveset. Seems to me NRS is going to be very comitted to DLC so they don't feel rushed to just throw in a half baked character at the last minute. I think they're going to take time with each character they develop to make them unique, especially if they're going to charge for them (I don't think they could get away with charging $1.99 or whatever DLC price would be for a palette swap of Kitana with Mileena's roll and Kitana's fan throw for example). So I think anything they don't feel will be up to par by the time the discs are pressed, will be held over for DLC later to polish it.

Again I'm going on that reference article. I've seen or heard nothing to suggest otherwise (although I haven't broken down the gameplay video frame by frame to be sure its accurate. I leave that up to someone else with more free time on their hands than I have).

I understand where you're coming from, but there are things we aren't taking into account. Skarlett's origins were of MKII as an error. Now if we were talking about Hsu Hao or Kai, then I would agree with you about the individual moveset. This would be Skarlett's first appearance as an actual character in the MK universe. They would have to devote an awful amount of time thinking of moves for a person they know nothing about. When they could be spending this time on other under-developed characters (Stryker). Now I doubt that they would make Skarlett dlc as hardly anyone knows who she is and probably wouldn't download her. So either they make her: unlockable, secret fightable cameo, main roster, or I'm wrong.
