Not everyone uses the same button set-up, I don't like the 1234.

However...

UF+2, 2, 1, Ice Ball, UF+2, 2, 1, 2+1, UF+(3 or 4), Dive Kick (Far) immediately after [Dive kick can be substituted for X-Ray, but the timing is a little different]

I believe that's the translation?

Perfect. Not saying it's the universal way to write the notation of a kombo, but I prefer to have them all equally translated in the first post
 
good to know fox17. i imagine a skilled player would become more wise to it after the first or second time, but some people never learn :P
 
Much love to netherealm for cyber sub-zero ! They thought since the previous cyborgs were well received, why not think that sub would have an even better reaction but whoa ! All the hate of this character is just ridiculous ???

He was the first character I mained. I got the stragedy guide with the game at launch, and I totally ignored how it said he's the worst character crap ! I played as him in practice mode after I unlocked him and found him to be an awesome character ! Many possibilities with his combos. Him and Ermac are my favorites. I look forward to seeing his alternate outfit.
 
the B+3, 2, 1...how is this a mixup combo? i cant really get it to do much of anything and the 1 at the end slams the opponent into the ground as a finisher, cant combo thru that, or maybe im misunderstanding what you mean by mixup...

B+3 is a Low hit. 2 is a launcher that hits High. You can nix the 1 in favor of cancelling into X-Ray.

It actually does mix-up. But kombo-wise, it's not that versatile. If you're looking to kombo, I'd go with 2,1,2+1 as a launcher (though it doesn't mix-up).

ya i think my problem is this is the first site ive ever used for a mk game and im unfamiliar with the terms. i dont know exactly what mixup means, no clue what hit confirmable means. there is probably a few others, i didnt see a forum post around that explained them so ive been trying to figure them out. mixup means it strikes at different heights then? in which case his B3, 2, 1/ 3, 3, 2/ and 3, 4 would be his main mixups if i have that right.
 
So here I am a week ago trying to pick out a good main for myself. Im not a very good player but practicing as much as I can (basically when my girlfriend lets me lol). So I seen the initial Tier lists and I was like noone will be playing cyber sub zero because hes Low Tier so Ill give him a go to be different. Also he seems to be an easy character to get into as a newer player. Ya, now Tom Brady releases his Tier list the other day and puts him all the way up top.. now everyones going to be playing him. Oh well, I still like him. =)
 
not a big fan with the combos that end with F+1,4. its such a long recovery time that you and the opponent get up at th same time even though you are the one that knocked them down, id rather substitute a different ending that leaves me at a advantage even at the loss of some damage.

2,1,slide also works usually for 1% more damage, but the timing for the slide can be tricky, at least for me it was.

38% meter combo.

j+1,2,1,iceball, j+1, 2,1,1+2, dash, 2,1,ex slide, its literally one of the same meterless combos that was shown, just with a ex slide at the end isntead of reg slide.
 
I don't get what all the hate towards CsZ comes from. He is a pretty solid character, and there really isn't anything wrong with him. Except maybe some of his combos are harder.
 
42% METERLESS combo but tis hard as hell, only gotten it to work twice in practice against a dummy so far.

2,1,iceball,j+1,2,1,1+2,~dash~dash~2,1,1+2,b+2,2,slide

apparently csz has some of the fastest ground game out there because his dashes can cancel into other dashes. its tight as hell though, probably even more damage if you start with j+1 and end with a EXslide

edit: sorry had the combo wrong, fixed it.
 
CSZ is awesome, but ithink his fatalities are just horrible. no blood, no dismemberment, no impalment, no decapitaion or bone crushing, WTF? ithink they should have impalmented his sword in a fatality.
 
I recently took interest in my 3rd main as Cyber Sub and just now found nice short combo that might not be on that list.
B+3,2, dash, 1,1, slide 20% (better then the autocombo that gives 16%)
- slide can also be replaced with Air dive kick, (normal 15%, Ex 21%)

J2,B+3,2, dash, 1,1, Ex slide 25%

If all this is somewhere then sorry - my bad.
 
anyone else having trouble with this string?

2,1,1+2,dash,2,1,1+2, slide

i cant get the third hit to land on the second string after the dash, it whiffs every single time.
 
anyway, instead of trying that double dash combo, ill try making this one my bnb midfielder.

j.1,2,1,iceball,j.1,2,1,1+2,dash,up+4,slide, 43%

the last part is difficult getting the up+4 (splits attack) to cancel its recovery animation into a slide right after dashing, maybe it would be easier on a arcade stick i dunno, i only have a controller. less headache for people who have trouble with the double dash like i apparently do, and only 2% less.

edit: got it down more consistantly, its actually 43% with the J.1 starter. timings kinda funky for the last 2 moves. if you dont do it right your split attack can miss, or your slide can miss.

maybe i am wrong but the only problem i have with him is his lack of range when it comes to basic attacks or what i percive to be lack of range

well what do you normally play? hes a rushdown character with some zone/anti zoning. hes gonna combo up close.

his basic attacks do not need range unless im misunderstanding what your saying. most characters basic attacks have virtually the same range. by basic im thinking non special attack strings/individiual hits.
