Seeing as how the contest proposed by VenoMark doesn't seem to be going any where, I'm going to post up my finished product for y'all to view. I hope it's enjoyable, it took me 2 weeks or so.

Thats because they, and the background, are 100% made by me. They never existed until I made them. There are no pre-existing props used in this fake at all. I might post bio's in the Create a Character thread later, since they both have back stories.
 
Like I said before, you would've won no contest. It's truly remarkable what you can do, I am floored by these. I love the egyptian styled architecture and custom characters. The Bg variation with the silver floor is my fave. haha dont really know how to critique this since I cant hold a candle to this stuff 10/10
 
Ok that’s it, I never really whas a sprite kind of guy, but seeing stuff like this truly inspires me.

Now its settled I will start to try making stuff like this to.

I know you want constructive criticism and all that, but what the hell can be said? That's the shit. If I had to give a criticism, it'd be that this looks too damn good to come from an MK game.

Did you even use pre-existing character sprites to build upon, or did you make them both completely from scratch?
 
That is one amazing fake. Everything is from scratch I believe and it looks flawless. 10/10
 
Damn! That's one hell of a fake that like to see again. Great job K1LLKANO. Beautiful work that I'm seeing. That will be perfect for the new generation of MK. Great concept! 15/10
 
well,all I can really say is that with the level of detail and workmanship you put into this peice it would be a crime to give this fake less than 10/10

although I don't like the blue floor in the bg I marvel at how well this fake is done overall.
I gotta tell ya.you are now the king of fakes as far as I'm concerned and I've pretty much seen 'em all.

it'll be a while before anyone is able to compete on this level realistically.
I mean,I knew you had tallent but damn.

I'm not just kissing your ass though man.seriously your too damn good.
 
ima give it a 7.5 only because the backround floor doesnt match the actual back round. the first backround with no sprites u have posted would of matched it really well. the life bars are kinda of iffy but great job on the sprites.
 
And I'm going to agree with Shawing above me there. Only, I'll give it a 8.5 because the sprites alone deserve that.

Thanks for the words of praise and the couple of criticisms as well. About the floor. I agree that the black floor looks better, but the Nareesa sprite kinda got hidden in there so i had to go with a more contrasting color.

Special thanks to both Midget and Ryknow for the especially encouraging words. Y'all gave me warm fuzzies :)

I'm still holding out for VenoMark's and MKRockets critiques though.

well it seems like VenoMark isn't around here much anymore, given the fact that he's been pissy with everyone's work. and MKRocket will surely come here before the month's end.
