Characters you dont care about

No prob... still cannot get used to RaIden because my first MK experience was SNES MK2 (they spelled it with a Y in that version of the game).

Reptile and Baraka seemed to just be whipping boys this game too, not really having a large part in the story. I think this was their purpose, they definitely want to introduce some new characters next game, so killing off a large portion of the cast was the way to go. I'm sure a lot that we "think" are dead, won't be. But next go around we'll see fresh blood.

Yeah, I hope they don't stick with this story line because they killed many of my favorite characters. I don't want to see Kira and Kobra replace them in MKX. MK has a terrible track record with newbies past UMK3.

Actually it can be spelled both ways. in the home versions of MK1-4 I believe it was spelled with a "Y" because there was another game out at the time called "Raiden" and they afraid of being sued

He turned from a fat street cop into a bada$$ hero. I totally love his MK9 version, even though I used to hate him so much.

I think the biggest problem with the 3D MK games is that they were rushed and thus didnt really get a chance to developer the newer characters. If newer characters like Kira, Kobra, Nitara, Sareena, Kai and Jerek are in the next game I trust NRS this time around to make them as badass as they can be. Hell if they can make Stryker awesome they can make anyone awesome.

I dont think all of the characters that were killed will be back but a large majority of them maybe
 
I totally forsee the "killing of a whole bunch of characters" being a way to free space for newer characters in MK10 I just see it happening. Now who they guna pick is the question.
 
Interesting. Jax and Nightwolf are definately beasts in this game (and people talk about Stryker LOL), Nightwolf is so easy to use against bosse and Jax is definately a top tier in this game. But whoever doesn't like them is fine.

My choice in this game only:
- Quan Chi
- Sheeva
- Mileena
- Cyborg Sub-Zero
- Kratos

I agree. I wouldn't mind some of the better MK4 and on characters getting a real work-up. If they don't rush it so badly this time, they could probably turn out some more respectable characters.

Kratos isn't an MK character, so I didn't include him in my list.



As for "free space for newer characters in MK10":

NRS can make all the free space that they want in for the next MK, but if they continue MK 10 with that LIMITED cast at the end of Story Mode, I'll just continue playing MK 9 and RENT MK 10.
