Bring back the 3D characters for the next game!

Fujin, Sareena, Havik, Hotaru, Nitara, Frost, Li Mei, Bo Rai Cho, Reiko, Shujinko. These 10 imo are more than enough and the best to come out of the 3D era. And Meat as a hidden character just for the lulz. I hope at least half of these will appear in MK11. It would only be logical. Everyone else is expendable and/or I don't care about.

That’s a pretty neat list.

Personally I would add a few more characters: Moloch (Not an interesting character but he would make a good Sub-Boss), Blaze (MK needs more non-human kombatants), Ashrah (great background with lots of potential for good stories), Daegon & Taven (Aka the Cain and Able of MK. Daegon could be a good baddy for the next game, just give him better minions.)
 
after seeing the flash the other day (spoilers)
a female doctor light appeared she had great light manipulation abilities and of course i thought of ashrah
out of all characters from the 6th gen era
i believe ashrah has alot of potential whether shes rebooted or keeps a similar timeline i do hope to see her in the future or at least in the comics

taven & daegon has potential but we'll probably only see em in the comics. dont think boon is fond of them.

I agree with Fujin, Li Mei and Sareena, but I think that Havik and Reiko could also get proper remakes.
 
Li Mei is a pansy in this timeline to be a playable character. She threw down her arms and ran to Earthrealm at the first sign of Mileena using the Amulet as a WMD. The old Li Mei would've kicked Mileena's ass or died trying.

As much as I didn't previously care for Hotaru, after MK9 and MKX I'm willing to give any 3D / post-MK3 debut character a 2nd chance.
Hotaru represents order where Havik represents chaos.
The 2 are a ying-yang of 1 another, and as long as they get rid of the ridiculous looking flags, I'm fine with him coming back.


I preferred Hotaru's alt costume, anyways......

I am a big fan of the 3D characters they were only a few that I hated so I would gladly see the likes of Fujin, Tasia, Reiko, Kai, Havik, Li Mei, Sareena, Taven, Daegon, Dairou, Hotaru, Frost, Nitara, Ashrah and Shijunko. I didn't really like Jarek so I can go either way with him. As for Hsu Hao, Darrius, Meat and Mokap Ugh I just don't want them to return. I would be okay if Kobra came back if he did indeed survive the fight between him and Erron Black. Too bad Moloch and Drahmin can't come back I liked them. Onaga and Blaze are okay in my opinion I would love to see them in the next game for sure. Mavado is another character I was starting to like but of course the comic killed him off too. Ugh the comic really got rid of some of my favorite characters in Mortal Kombat. I really wished some of those deaths was retconned out in the next game. That is my opinions guys.

I'd like to see Frost, Nitara, Ashra, Reiko and Fujin back at some point. Their potential is limitless. Well, maybe not Frost but I like her character.

I think these 5 intrigue me the most for a revival in today's MK universe. We got a huge tease for how Fujin would look in a new MK. We even got Le Mei as a cameo though she wasn't in her usual purple attire. Havik has always been my number one most requested from the 3D era because he has the look for a dark and gritty MK and he has a "Joker Mentality". Just cause chaos because it's there. Which brings me to the ultimate rule follower known as Hotaru. Even though he had a bad guy scent to him I think he was the perfect opposite to Havik. Nitara never used to interest me but seeing how the women in MK need a few more diverse choices on the roster. I think Nitara would compliment D'Vorah very well. Plus I think with an updated redesign, they could make her look badass.

All of them if I actually think about it. There are just soo many more great characters: Sareena, Li Mei, Drahmin, Hotaru........

Only Hsu Hao, Kobra and Darrius aren't really loved by the fans, but even they are funny. :-)
 
Hotaru and Havik: I am a huge Hotaru fan (maybe because I'm a law student? lol), so I would get a fangasm if he was brought back in the future titles. I see his chances to be slimmer than those of Havik - the MKX comic showed that Havik does not need Hotaru to appear in the MK storyline. I personally see the two as I see Scorpion/Sub-Zero or Kitana/Mileena so I would love to see them both return.

Shujinko: Shujinko was perhaps the most developed 3D era MK character - who thought I woulc care this much about a MK character? I love the kind, humble but naive personality he has. He however needs a serious movelist redesign, which I have no doubt NRS would succeed at. I would like him to be more like Pai Mei from the Kill Bill movies, the greatest martial arts master.

Frost: I think she is very likely to come back, just please not like in MKX, she seemed so weak and dumb in the story mode, rather than the cool (literally) old Frost.

Fujin: I think at this point, he is a must-be on the MK11 roster.

Nitara: I loved Nitara in the 3D era, however now that we have a newer blood character with a significant following, I doubt we will see Nitara return as a playable character.

Drahmin and Moloch: Always liked them but don't see them returning. They might stay dead.

Reiko: Would love to see him return, he has a fanbase.

Ashrah: One of my favourite MKD newcomers, they could do a lot of cool stuff with her concept, the voodoo, etc...

Hsu Hao: Never gonna happen, but I actually really enjoyed Hsu Hao in Deadly Alliance... more so than bland Li Mei.

And of course Onaga - really hoping he will be the final boss in MK11.

Fujin - for obvious reasons
Reiko - if Shao Kahn and Noob Saibot both stay dead, then Reiko is a must

MKDA:
Frost - you can do so many more things with ice, and actually have an evil criomancer

MKD:
Havik - the most popular MKD newcomer still wait for return
